Red Lion Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Sold BRK.B at 320 in a 401k account to buy shares in KKR at 63.20. I would anticipate buying these BRK.B shares back in an opportunistic fashion.
Red Lion Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Sold my ATVI and bought back my covered calls for a 2% loss to go off margin. Sold Jan 23 $60 KKR puts for $6.70 and reinvested the options proceeds into more KKR at just under $63.
CorpRaider Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 Blocked and reported for selling berk to buy kkr.

formthirteen Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 I'm not selling anything, but Oracle seems to be buying SPLK anyway.

Ulti Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 Kind of agree. I've owned CSCO for a good bit of time. Looks like they are full on to the shift to services and software...Maybe they think that there will be less money spent on corp networking with more stay home workers? They've expanded into high margin areas like security and 5G so it might not be a bad fit with SPLK.
lnofeisone Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 Sold 15 2024 SHLX puts on Friday. The floor here is $12.89 and puts are trading at 3.5. I think it will take way less time than 2 years to get this closed out with Shell's 72% ownership. There is also a potential that the bid will be increased - say if it goes the way TOO/Brookfield saga played out (28% increase in a bid). I not too optimistic on the latter scenario and see this just closing out similar to Enbridge roll up. Thanks @thepupil for flagging this one.
james22 Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 Sold $100K of BRK this morning at $316 to fund half my expenses this year. We'll see if I should have waited until after they report.

I did keep most of my Berkshire Hathaway shares, and sold inside a tax deferred account. Famous last words.

Don't know what the withdrawal rate is, how long needs to last, or if wish to leave anything behind. And if the withdrawal is paying for mortgage/car payments or all discretionary. Or if Roth converting, etc.

The runup has been crazy, must be due to factors driving it. I don't think the terminal value concerns will ever go away with this one. That said, I funneled at bit more into SWMAY yesterday, which hasn't really run up at all.

Curious since you trade foreign shares rather routinely. Thanks

I swapped 70% into PM. I already own a chunk of SWMAY - 5% position for me.

Curious since you trade foreign shares rather routinely. Thanks If I get satisfactory liquidity, I tend to buy the ADR's. It also depends on my account - I have both IB and Fidelity account and never buy on foreign exchanges in my Fidelity accounts, due to high costs.
