SPY has a gap at $400 ($2.71 gap). Gap theory says it is very likely to close. The game plan is to roll the short put as many months as necessary to close out the long put when SPY is close to the strike price.

Gap closed.

Gildan looks well positioned. Short term, reopening play (tourism, concerts, work from home). Medium term, de-globalization play (as more manufacturing exits Asia)

Another binary trade.

Vertex Energy - the company is doing 100% pivot from used motor oil refining to being a refinery producing renewable diesel. Shell is trying to become green and is selling an enormously profitable refinery in Mobile, Alabama. What does it mean for VTNR:

-Revenue today is 120M or so and it will go to about (VTNR-guided) 2.5B (you are reading this correctly) and 200M in gross profit for FY22. They just closed the purchase of the refinery.

-They are guiding to 3.5B in revenue and 400M gross profit for FY23

-They have offtake and supply agreements signed

-EV is about 700M once accounted for all new debt

-There is a 30% short interest in the stock

Options are insanely priced but 10/17.5 2023 vertical spread will cost you 1.10.

Vertex reported today. Crazy numbers. Stock is hitting 52 week high. Quote from their PR to signify what Shell basically gave away:

"During our first 30 days of operation, the refinery generated strong EBITDA, all of which came from conventional fuels production," continued Cowart. "Putting the significance of this performance in perspective, we currently anticipate Vertex will generate enough net profit to have paid for the Mobile refinery and related logistics assets in less than one full quarter of operations."

All of Liberty Sirius/Broadband/Formula1/Braves (in order of size), MSGS, IBKR, ROST, PCYO.

The last 3 are existing positions where I sold (registered account) shares and bought deep ITM options for more shares to increase exposure and free up cash for the other positions.
