What are you buying today?

MFCB owns a royalty on an iron ore mine that has shut down in Canada. Tacora, the private company that owns the mine announced they had closed the funding on the 27th. This is a big deal, as it should be $20 MM+ in annual revenue at 100% gross margins for a company that has a market cap of ~$60MM after the move.

We talked a but about it in the ALS thread.

Wrote 205-strike, 12/7/18 expiration BRKB puts for $1.65 per share.

Copied your trade but got filled at 1.80. Trying again at 2.15...

Incidentally, CA wildfire claims looking like $20billion for the industry this quarter

Just heard from my daughter. Now they have pouring rain, which will probably result in more losses caused by mud slides.

If you remember Dan from the BMY board, he lives in Malibu. He is fine. They had power out for a couple of days, no mail or internet for 9 days, problematic road closures — all small stuff in context.

I'm now thinking about the 202.50 strike puts.

BRK, WFC, AAPL.

Not as much as i wanted because Jurgis was buying today moved the market.

When a guy has to buy, a guy has to buy.  8)

Honestly, a stint of good humor in this carnage does not harm anyone. -Which also brings me to the point: What have you been buying today, Jurgis? [The answer for my own part to that particular question is: Nothing].

Sorry, but I don't post day-to-day purchases and sales.

I'll post my monthly activity as always on SI and my blog.

IMO nobody should follow what I buy or sell or base any decisions on that.  8)

Everything I posted to rb is true. To some degree.  8)

I'll let it go from here, and stay away from it here on CoBF going forward, as useless, from my own personal perspective.

I put 85% of my portfolio into BIL today. This is the 3 month treasury bill ETF.

I am not seeing a lot of opportunities right now, so I am patiently waiting and spending a lot of time researching.

For people who bought AAPL thinking it is cheap, don't forget Cisco lost 90% in 2000 before it turns back up. AAPL changed its reporting metrics. This is a big red flag.
