boilermaker75 Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 Wrote some GILD 70-strike Dec 14 expiration puts on Friday for $1.08 per share.
gfp Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 Hey, I'm wondering what happened to cause this company to move 20% in a day. Why did you decide to buy calls? Mfcb calls
bizaro86 Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 MFCB owns a royalty on an iron ore mine that has shut down in Canada. Tacora, the private company that owns the mine announced they had closed the funding on the 27th. This is a big deal, as it should be $20 MM+ in annual revenue at 100% gross margins for a company that has a market cap of ~$60MM after the move. We talked a but about it in the ALS thread.
no_free_lunch Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Took a position in sec.to. PB was around 0.55 based on Sept 30 numbers, book would have dropped for sure over past 2 months but still should be around 0.6 book.
kab60 Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 More ADS at 189.30. 30% position now. Ditto. And the percentage isn't far off either.
boilermaker75 Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Wrote 205-strike, 12/7/18 expiration BRKB puts for $1.65 per share.

Viking Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 BAC; down 11% in 2 days... Trading at about 10X 2018 earnings. Perhaps the end is coming... I doubt it :-)

Now they have pouring rain, which will probably result in more losses caused by mud slides. If you remember Dan from the BMY board, he lives in Malibu. He is fine. They had power out for a couple of days, no mail or internet for 9 days, problematic road closures — all small stuff in context.
gfp Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Ended up getting filled on a couple 200 strike Dec 7th puts for $1.00. 205s got filled at 1.80 and 2.15 Wrote 205-strike, 12/7/18 expiration BRKB puts for $1.65 per share. Spekulatius Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 I bought some BWEL because someone had a yard sale.

muscleman Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 I put 85% of my portfolio into BIL today. This is the 3 month treasury bill ETF. I am not seeing a lot of opportunities right now, so I am patiently waiting and spending a lot of time researching. For people who bought AAPL thinking it is cheap, don't forget Cisco lost 90% in 2000 before it turns back up. AAPL changed its reporting metrics. This is a big red flag.
