frommi Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 sold out of CABO after the results, EBITDA falling >5 quarters in a row doesn't look very good.

Results were not bad and they are probably better positioned to deal with US tariffs than the other big 2 (FDX and UPS). Could actually be good for them. Although they might reconsider trying to re-enter the US market.
tnathan Posted March 7, 2025 Posted March 7, 2025 Sold my OTIS shares and moving into better r/r opps. Its stable but fully valued

sleepydragon Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 sold most of my Freddie commons , shorted some Google puts
CorpRaider Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 (edited) Sold most US index exposures in my "value + trend strategeries" on 03/10 market close. Edited March 11, 2025 by CorpRaider
Masterofnone Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 Sold some BRKB in a trust account where a distribution needs to be made the end of September. Seems like a coin toss whether the price will be higher or lower then. I have no clue, but Berkshire is closer to fully valued now than it has been the last 15 years. Bird in the hand and all that.
WFF Posted March 18, 2025 Posted March 18, 2025 Sold IH, nice run up from 1.60s, almost a double in a couple of months
This2ShallPass Posted March 18, 2025 Posted March 18, 2025 Sold 1/3rd of my remaining Fannie/Freddie common, still have pfds.
WayWardCloud Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 (edited) I sold out of Adobe. The barrage of negative opinions here has convinced me that at least it was a more complicated story than I initially thought. What's the point of such a great forum if I don't listen to the wisdom of the crowd? I still think this could do very well given the current depressed price compared to historical multiples and the upcoming increased share of software in the value add away from designers/editors. I like their deep enterprise moat and how they approach AI. If they succeed at charging companies inference tokens in addition to the creative cloud subscriptions it will be huge. But then again so many moving pieces and new often irrationally priced competitors so who knows where it will all end up. It was also taking too much of my brain time in the background. Another sign this was a "too complicated" pile investment. I reallocated the funds to a bit of everything I already owned : Alphabet, Airbnb, Amazon and Patria (Thanks Spek for the idea). This would be a great use case for using options but ADBE options are incredibly richly priced.

What's the point of such a great forum if I don't listen to the wisdom of the crowd? This was exactly my thinking when I sold my shares as well. It’s one reason why I like to post here what I am buying, selling or what interest me.
LC Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 I think you need to have some insight into large corporate creative expenditure to bet on Adobe. If threats of AI in their business are overblown, you could do very well. You could also get hit hard if you are wrong. It needs an informed view of that market - long term business prospects are not clear at the moment.
LC Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 I also think their inability to absorb upstart competitors is a big failing. Google/mega could buy small soon-to-be competitors. When Adobe tried a similar maneuver with Figma, it didn’t pan out.
Eng12345 Posted March 25, 2025 Posted March 25, 2025 (edited) Sold SMNEY after a year it was a 4.5X - probably one of the best returns I've had on a long only position, I think. Now to just do that 4 more times. ha! Got out of my BAH position the other day with the tiniest of gains - decided to quit picking up pennies in front of the steam roller. benchmark Posted March 25, 2025 Posted March 25, 2025 Sold 3/4 of my BAC holdings -- I kept the remaining ones just to limit the tax bill.

rogermunibond Posted March 26, 2025 Posted March 26, 2025 Of all the compounder stocks that were super favored over the 2016-2024 time frame, what are the ones that have NOT sold off? I can think of four. SPGI, MCO, V, and MA

I'll need to look up how they compare with MAG7 - as until recently they hadn't done as well, so I suspect it's a case of what doesn't go up as much, doesn't go as much.
