You're so lame with this BS. You still can't answer why Obama can attack Libya or Pakistan without congressional approval with absolutely no legal repercussions. What hypocrisy.
Spooky Posted January 4 Posted January 4 If I was a US citizen / taxpayer I would be pissed. You vote for a guy who is America first and against foreign entanglements and forever wars cause you want them to focus on making life better for everyday folks in America. Less than one year into Trump's term he has bombed Iran, Nigeria and Venezuela. No end to the wars in Gaza / Ukraine. Once again asking US taxpayers to potentially pay the bill to invade / reconstruct another country so that oil companies / the military industrial complex can profit? Adding how many hundreds of billions / or trillions to the debt.... I remember the lead up to the Iraq war and at leas the lies were way more coherent than today.

Estimates are Maduro is responsible for 20,000 deaths by his death squads - killing his opponents in Venezuela. He's also responsible for countless drug deaths in America and emptying his prisons of killers and rapists and sending them to America. Like bin Laden, Maduro had a $25M reward for his capture - this one set by President Biden - specifically for Narco-Terrorism. Incorrect, the warrant for Maduro was first issued in March 2020 and then Trump was President. https://www.justice.gov/archives/opa/pr/nicol-s-maduro-moros-and-14-current-and-former-venezuelan-officials-charged-narco-terrorism

After initially offering a reward offer of up to $15 million for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Maduro in 2020, the Department of State on January 10, 2025, increased the reward offer to up to $25 million. On August 7, 2025, the Department announced the further increase in the reward offer to up to $50 million after the Department of Treasury sanctioned Cartel of the Suns as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist on July 25, 2025. As leader of Cartel of the Suns, Maduro is the first target in the history of the Narcotics Rewards Program with a reward offer exceeding $25 million.

dealraker Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) Trump is out and about with his stating he takes 325mg of asperin each day. No wonder he's constantly got his panties in a wad. That much asperin will constipate an elephant. Edited January 5 by dealraker
Gregmal Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Man this is pure comedic treasure. One day someone definitely needs to put together a top 10 list of the most insane/despicable things Trumps gotten some of these libtards to support. Formulas always the same; “I don’t support (insert topic; evil dictators/MS13 gangbangers/mutilating minors for political purposes/government fraud and waste/unchecked immigration/buddying up with Epstein to “get Trump”/violent crime/etc*) but….(insert stupid nitpick nuance or crappy tangential “bigger picture” argument)….so they can take the “against Trump” side anyway…. *these are just a few from the last 12 months, there’s dozens more from the last decade of pure derangement.

I doubt the list is finished yet - you'll find them picketing in NYC with Mamdani for Maduro's release!

I think the interpretation of “America first” is a bit different and far wider than most people and the MAGA voters thought. The recently published security paper shows the direction which indicates widespread intervention within the sphere of American interest. Venezuela falls into that one, Greenland likely to, Canada as well. Ukraine doesn’t and that’s why it can go to Russia as far as Trump is concerned. Taiwan has the silicon shield going for it , but if that’s gone, I think it can fall to China. Welcome to the world of Neo Imperialism.
Xerxes Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Did the U.S. Gov “Houthied” the Venezuelans oil tankers and now their leader like pirates of Caribbeans do ? Seriously folks, one less asshole, ain’t a bad thing. That said not sure if there was a D-Day+1 plan here. Rubio has his job cut out for him. This is really funny. Don’t know if it was already posted.

We are so back in the 19th century, it all about spheres of influence, gunboat diplomacy, the Great White Fleet (or golden), …. just need to buy some huge hunks of land so that the prophecy is fulfilled.

I don’t think this is correct though. there have been several interventions (Reagan, GW Bush - Noriega) that were done without. Panama in 1989 is probably the most similar case: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_invasion_of_Panama https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_invasion_of_Grenada
DooDiligence Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Mission accomplished. Nobody's talking about trump being a pedo any more.

It's all about the oil and minerals fella...they didn't give two shits about Maduro if he played ball. Cheers! So it was perfectly fine to put a bounty on his head but not to arrest him and try him for his crimes? Some people are so deluded by political ideology they completely lose all perspective of right vs. wrong.
Paarslaars Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I think his crimes just make it an easy excuse. Venezuela is just a pawn in the war between US and China for rare earth metals.
Dalal.Holdings Posted January 5 Posted January 5 https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-01-05/venezuela-s-rodriguez-asks-us-for-cooperation-after-maduro-raid?srnd=homepage-americas Quote Delcy Rodríguez, the acting president of Venezuela, asked the US to work with her country, striking a more conciliatory tone toward the Trump administration after her initial outrage at the capture of President Nicolás Maduro. Quite the reversal in just a day... Comparing this to Iraq is silly because the rest of the VZ government remains in place. Of course, the haters will criticize Trump on that too ("why isn't he putting Machado in control!?"). On one hand, they say U.S. should not do regime change, but on the other they say we should put Machado in place... Amusing all the armchair experts on here, but the situation keeps evolving in favor of the Trump admin. Biden admin had a bounty on Maduro. He was not the legitimate President of VZ even according to the useless EU. Claims that this operation "weakens" the U.S. according to two guys named Vlad is funny. The operation was incredibly well executed with no loss of U.S. lives...I don't think anyone else could have pulled this off Compare the capabilities of the U.S. with the rest of the Western world who express that they are "Deeply Concerned" and/or come up with a spineless Statement whenever something happens in the world. The U.S. acts, the rest of the Western world reacts. That's all they can do--react.
Spooky Posted January 5 Posted January 5 How is the US today any different from Russia now? You have ceded the moral high ground as well as the rule of law. You have given permission to those leaders willing to take this kind of violent action into their own hands and created a more lawless world.
