Saluki Posted January 30 Posted January 30 A few shares of DEA and POWWP in my Roth IRA for my fixed income basket.
Saluki Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Small starter positions in NEP. The bid ask ratio is no longer heavilly skewed towards sellers dumping. Bid10.37 x 1100 Ask10.40 x 900 I think now that all people who invested for the fat dividend have sold when the dividend was cut to zero, it looks like a less risky play getting all these assets at a discount, and some nice FCF after they deal with the 2 CEPFs that are coming due by hoarding cash or selling rather than diluting to pay it off with shares. .

cubsfan Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I like Blake. He's smart, young and has a lot of spunk. He fits in well here. He ought to do real well - but I think he will be more successful if he doesn't try to call the market. Many of us have had to learn the same lesson - it's very nature when you're young. It's just there are not many that have the talent of Jim Simons or David Tepper. Maybe he's the next one.
LC Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) Yeah or just don't bother with the stuff that won't make you money. Like, IDK how bitcoin will make me money so I don't really think about it. Same with arguing politics with @cubsfan Edited February 3 by LC
Blake Hampton Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I stand by the systemic risks I keep talking about. I think they're very large as well as very real. However, I do respect the advice to focus on what you can control and it certainly isn't good to focus on the general market / macro. At least not all the time anyway.
Blake Hampton Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) I bought more OXY and I'd make a bet that Buffett is buying as well. Edited February 3 by Blake Hampton
Lance Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Bought IBIT, indexes (QQQM/VTI) and some trashy yield stuff (JLS/PDI/PFFA and a few others) via market orders at the open this AM in retirement accounts. Placed limit orders on some Canadian stocks, but they didn’t sell off as much as I thought they might. Thanks Lance
