cubsfan Posted January 11 Posted January 11 (edited) Meanwhile, POTUS continues to clean up America from criminal scum: Since Jan. 20, 2025, DHS enforcement operations have resulted in more than 622,000 deportations. 70% of those illegal aliens arrested by ICE have prior criminal arrests or criminal convictions. This statistic doesn’t account for those wanted for crimes in their home country or another country, INTERPOL notices, human rights abusers, gang members, and terrorists. https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/ice-arrests-convicted-sexual-predator-who-was-allowed-roam-free-minneapolis-because Edited January 11 by cubsfan

Now that the capital is distributed in full to the next generation, isen't it time to write your memoirs now? Or driving a new Ph.D. teacher nuts? Isen't sentiment swing trading turds like Ørsted and earlier Deutsche Bank and oil stuff getting a bit boring with time? Sadly, my old avatar is too big a file, and the possible replacements are just not the same. No memoir writing for quite some time yet .... far too many trade secrets!, and Orange Boy is much too good a disrupter to pass up on. Way too refreshing to have estate obligations done, a brewery gig, capital/experience/expertise to do my own thing, no institutional restraints, plus a good 10 years+ of runway before the slow-go years. And as there are very few times when once/decade change routinely happens within months, this is a terrible time to waste! While I can't take it with me, I can thoroughly enjoy myself in the pillage, and give it away afterwards In between getting the bucket list items done. It will be soooo boring .... when Orange Boy eventually leaves the building. SD Edited January 11 by SharperDingaan

It's ok if he grabs underaged pussy if he cuts interest rates and taxes. It's ok if he alienates and threatens allies if he gets control of mineral rights and breaks agreements. It's ok if he ignores due process while getting rid of aliens...criminal or otherwise. It's ok if he seeks retribution against his countrymen solely because he didn't like the questions they asked or the jokes they were telling. It's ok if he enriches himself while enriching his countrymen...even if it is like 100,000-1 in terms of how much his family makes and how much the average countrymen's family makes. This is a really nice summary of the situation, I think.

I actually think the politics section here has had value to me. It seems pretty obvious when people are just echoing what Dear Leader told them to echo because the arguments are typically quite awful, or are often effectively "let's change the topic!". On the other hand, when they do give real arguments, they will sometimes provide perspectives I'm not exposed to elsewhere. And that has value to me, learning other people's perspectives.

I stay away from this thread for extended periods and when I do dip in, it's always the same disingenuous bullshit coming from the same posters. I've referenced the intellectual code of conduct a few times and gotten ridicule from the same idiot every time. It would be laughable if it weren't so tragic. The lies, the hypocrisy, the mental gymnastics, the complete lack of awareness. It's exhausting. I find very little genuine worthwhile debate here. It's nothing but one gigantic circle jerk of bullshit fueled by a handful of gaping assholes. I appreciate a lot of your thoughts here and elsewhere on the forum. I'll go back to ignoring this thread again. Cue smart assed comment by deluded cult member.

I feel like I stole him when I hold him. Genetics is funny that way. So which one is white and which one is East Indian? Does it matter? +1! That's the thing...there is this underlying hate for Obama...we all know why! But he was half white and half black...which half do people hate and which half do people love? Ridiculous...doesn't matter. The black side was actually the conservative...it was the white side that was the socialist! Cheers!

Attacks on the Fed are a lot of bluster and hot air but am very curious how the threat of 10% max interest rates on CCs plays out. Personally think it is a great idea and could care less how it is viewed politically or by financial markets.

Bluff or not, lawfare is bad for the country, no matter which side does it. I'm lifting this from a favorite (conservative) writer of mine: Shift your ground to the cheap and temporary rationalizations of politics instead of the arguments of law and ethics. Tear down yet another piece of what you believe to be the mere scaffolding of our Republic, only to discover that you’re removing load-bearing pillars. Defend this, and don’t be surprised when suddenly a firm structure no longer bears up under the shocks and stresses. And Parsad, before you start clapping, try to recognize who got this ball rolling in the USA. Threatening to pack the court, abolish the filibuster, etc etc. All from the Democrats. We're sinking here and we can do is call each other names and deflect!

My guess is that it will lead to credit cards being available to only blue chip customers, so probably 70% of the country won't have them.
