CorpRaider Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 I'm looking for a way to get long more financials but diversify a little of the BAC-WTA gains.
no_free_lunch Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Started a small position in MCO. It's a quality financial, previously owned by Buffet which hasn't experienced the trump rally.
roughlyright Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Added additional shares to MOGLF (Mongolia Mining company or 975.hk) at 0.04
sarganaga Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Mosaic (MOS) Bought some a few days ago when the stock dropped 6% on news of their Vale fertilizer purchase. Added today. Up to 2.5% total position.
TwoCitiesCapital Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 More PDER. Just slowly accumulating.
no_free_lunch Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Took a little nibble on Bollore. Just a 1% position for now. Also a decent position in BAM. I think it could do well over the next 5 years as they build up their asset management business. I also like that I am diversifying with BAM away from the US.
Lance Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 MOGLF - Mongolian Mining Corporation Thanks Lance
bskptkl Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 NYRT Plan of liquidation approved - stock sells off. Do the indexes have to sell because it's in liquidation?
CorpRaider Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Dunno, but there was also hope for a sale, which would likely cause one to further time discount whatever projected cash flows they were workin' wit.
james22 Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 FRFHF @ $459 If no longer a hedge, attractive with recent moves (Allied World acquisition, pre-election bond shift, private equity moves, investment emphasis, etc.) and at 20% off 52-week high.
brendanb22 Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 FELP. Still think it's materially undervalued and that Murray will take private within the year
Charlie Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 I bought more Berkshire B shares today. Business results should be very good. Too much of a good thing can be wonderful. :)
scorpioncapital Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 Initiated a test position in HXL yesterday. http://bulletin.incas.ro/files/mrazova_m__v5_iss_3_full.pdf
John Hjorth Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 I bought more Berkshire B shares today. Business results should be very good. Too much of a good thing can be wonderful. :) Charlie, Yes, to me also, BRK is still a buy - at these levels.
boilermaker75 Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 I bought more Berkshire B shares today. Business results should be very good. Too much of a good thing can be wonderful. :) Charlie, Yes, to me also, BRK is still a buy - at these levels. Before today I had written some 155-strike puts. If BRKB had fallen today I was going to write some more.
Guest longinvestor Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I bought more Berkshire B shares today. Business results should be very good. Too much of a good thing can be wonderful. :) Good for you! I am looking forward to the earnings report for 2016; Expect earnings (operating including insurance) to be approx. $15,000 per A share. If so, it will be yet another year of the stock selling well below IV. Would like it to stay so until the day I retire. And then it can go crazy and start selling @ or above IV.
giofranchi Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I have opened a position in The Travelers Companies (TRV): Average annual operating return on equity over the last 10 years: 13.8% CARG in BVPS over the last 10 years: 9.7% BVPS in 2008: +5% CAGR in dividends over the last 10 years: 10.1% Total return to shareholders for the last 10 years: 250% Dividend Yield: 2.2% Payout Ratio: 25% Debt/Equity: 0.26 Price/BVPS: 1.4 P/E: 12 This is imo an outstanding company selling at an attractive price. The change in management that occured last year might constitute a source of uncertainty. Anyway, Mr. Schnitzer already was CEO of Business and International Insurance, and seems to know the company very well and to be perfectly alligned with its culture. Cheers, Gio
no_free_lunch Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Another little basket of fannie mae preferred's. Now my 3rd largest holding. At least with fannie I feel like I can make some money with all this political non-sense instead of just arguing about it.
LC Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Purchased PM and BRK.B a few days ago, sold out of SNA also a few days ago (lucky)
wachtwoord Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I exchanged a small position in CTO for a small position in NYRT.
