A direct attack wouldn’t have stood a chance, so this approach puts the odds more in his favor. Seems like it might have backfired if that's the case. The left still hates Musk, and the MAGA crowd will follow their marching orders.

DOGE is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon. Wouldn’t that be terrible? He gets a lot of subsidies.” So much for free speech in America?!?........I'm sorry Trump lovers out there but this meets the technical definition of authoritarianism...would he follow through, maybe not.....thats not the point though...this most certainly is authoritarianism under the category of suppression of dissent using the apparatus of the State.....threatening a US citizen with de-naturalization and to harm them economically via federal contracts because they DISAGREE with you on policy is simply un-American...... Really would like to hear COBF's MAGA army give me their hot-take @cubsfan etc.....really like to understand if they think this is "cool" and fair game or if I'm being a "crybaby"? JPow blaming Trump's tariffs for keeping rates higher? How dare he blame the dear leader! Frankly I am upset that foundational economic principles are not re-aligning themselves to comply with Trump's wishes!

Trump policies will create lots of jobs, increase consumer spending, reduce taxes, increase investments...and those policies are probably tempered now by reduced illegal employment, decreased spending by the bottom 50%, flat interest rates, lower energy prices and a slump in housing. One or two cuts might have been ok...anything more like Trump wants...that would be a long-term concern. Cheers!

Savers are and have been hurt by ultra low interest rates. Why should everyone be pushed into risk assets? Why should risk-averse folks have to lend money to banks or the government for near no return?

The aim of the game here for the current administration - I'm almost certain everytime I hear Bessent speak and then hear Trump talk about the next Fed chair- is to 'fix' the annual fiscal deficit & bring down the debt to GDP ratio is by running the US economy 'hot' from here on out.....inflation up, real rates down (potentially negative).....suspect we're headed for much much lower short term rates and some monetary interventions, if necessary, by the Fed to the yield curve to control 10yr & 30yr auctions. whiskybravo Posted July 1, 2025 Posted July 1, 2025 2024 tariff intake was $86B. Tariff revenue taken in March $9.6B, April $17.4B, May $22B, and June as of 6/25 $27B. Where does this annualize? >$400B. ”Big beautiful bill” projected to reduce Federal revenue on a dynamic basis by $4T over 10 years or $400B per year. Could all this work? Throw in more intelligent energy policy and permitting sanity. Just wondering.

It's the same story as last time just with different labels. Why is anyone surprised?

Why can't you just accept the fact that some people would like the US to be a country of laws? You call everyone you disagree with a heartless racist. Some of us are just tired of socialism, irresponsibility and government incompetence and corruption. If you gave a damn about the poor and the working classes, you would actually cheer deportation of illegals and end to immigration. Immigration lowers wages and increases housing costs, hurting the working poor.
