Yeah, it’s time for a MAGA group chat. There probably is already one going, I bet.

Of course there is.  There's been one for over a decade since this demon seed idea was spawned!  Cheers!

People are easily manipulated by mistruths because they so want them to be true.

“It concerned a preliminary, thinly based and cursory analysis by the Defense Intelligence Agency (one of 18federal intelligence agencies) with a pessimistic account of the Iran strikes even as more valid information was pouring in about the recently-completed bombing mission.

One might even ask if the essentially worthless review was commissioned to be leaked.”

“Even a decade from now some Americans will likely cling to the dismissive DIA report just as they cling to the Steele dossier because they want it to be true.”

“Such stories aren’t the product of journalistic enterprise. They are products of leakers who know a reporter will let them get away with an illegal leak and not embarrass or expose them even if it becomes clear the source was lying.”

I always like to say some positive things about Captain Chaos when they are so obviously positive.

So its quite the achievement IMO to get the European's to up their defense spending to 5% of GDP.....many Presidents have tried and they've all failed at this....Trump got it done.....and all things being equal American military forces can be re-deployed over time from Europe to East Asia which is their highest and best use given the strategic important of containing China.

Great job by Trump.

SC basically said that Federal and State judges cannot invoke nationwide injunctions...on any matter.

So I could understand that for State judges...but Federal judges are handpicked by the President.  They rule on Federal matters.  This would mean that only the Supreme Court can invoke nationwide injunctions?!

Bizarre!  Cheers!

Sanjeev, it's really pretty straight forward.  Lower Court Judges should not be making law or broad policy.  Their mandate is to rule on cases before them.  Politics has no place in such rulings.  We've gotten to a point where Complainants forum shop in jurisdictions where they know the Judges will rule in their favor.  Most anti-Trump decisions come out of the same left wing judicial circuits.  It's obvious to anyone who bothers to notice but a (now minority) percentage of the population doesn't care because to them the ends justify the means.  Lawfare was a rather feeble try and it doesn't work.  How many times do the same people need to embarrass themselves before they learn from their mistakes?

I agree with this. Judgements from lower level courts should not be used for lawsuits that apply or matter for the whole country. This would not be allowed in Canada or any other county for that matter either. I don’t think this is a method the democrats invented. Regardless it makes no sense no matter what you think about the topic at  hand.

It was a fairly complex ruling by the Supreme Court

2 exceptions ( the second of which is interesting:

The justices also specified two exceptions to its new rule: class-action lawsuits, which can apply to groups of people in a similar legal situation, and cases brought under the Administrative Procedure Act, which governs executive branch rule-making and allows judges to block actions by agencies found to be “arbitrary” or “capricious.”

I couldn't have said it any better. This has been a historic period that will likely   change the Middle East forever.  No doubt the other bully nations have taken note of what fate might become of them.

So much grift......its a slippy slope from Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush to Melania Trump and $Melania coin

I guess two things can be true at once......the Trump family are doing amazing things for the United States.....but lets be clear they are also enriching themselves to a level never before seen in history by any First Family.

What a great way to spent an evening for the almighty. Amazing what billions can buy you!

Both men's foundation of success is obsessive cult followings and manipulation of taxpayers and the guv.  But as has been the case for decades Trump's cult is far dominant.  Musk's 100% financial guv dependency may be his Achilles and this could get very interesting.

Could it have been Musk’s plan from the start to present himself as an ally to the public and build credibility with the MAGA crowd, just so he’d have the ability to turn against Trump later on?

A direct attack wouldn’t have stood a chance, so this approach puts the odds more in his favor.

Musk does not stand a chance against Trump in a direct confrontation. He will be squashed like a bug. The tech brothers live in a bubble that is worse than many politicians - they believe money can buy everything.

Bezos wedding is another unrelated example of this is expressed in different way.

I think once you are past a certain point in wealth , more money has negative utility. That point is way less than $1 billion.

Speaking of tech brothers...I recommend watching "The Mountainhead".  First half is absolutely hilarious as Corey Michael Smith, Steve Carrell, Ramy Youseff and Jason Schwartzman play tech bros hanging out for a weekend at Schwartzman's mountain retreat, as the world around them burns and they enjoy the collective power they have to help it do so to achieve their end goals.

Second half loses it and goes all American Psycho...still funny, but too over the top.  Definitely worth watching just to realize that the current batch of tech bros are the new oligarchs, some of who clearly need to be reined in.  Maybe in the real world, Elon is the first!  Cheers!

Musk will be to Trump what Prigozhin was to Putin as that relationship began to strain itself between the Chef and the Master.

Prigozhin was smart enough not to go against Trump directly but went against his military-industrial ecosystem. And in doing so, he shook its very foundation.

In general, I find talking to taxi drivers more illuminating than talking to university professors and very highly paid professionals.  While I can learn about new books, interesting ideas, etc... from the latter, they live in a bubble and generally have zero common sense.  Cab drivers tend to have it in spades even though they have nothing intelligent to say about Plato or Mozart.
