Person in my work, South African, farmer and white.  Sold their farm at very low prices and fled.  They are being murdered and decided it’s too dangerous to stay.

 

Met another South African a few years ago while walking the dog in a park.  He told me his story, said he left because it was too dangerous and being white extra dangerous.  He said he finds it amazing, he said people here (UK) haven’t a clue.  He we could walk in a secluded park and not fear robbery or death - whereas in SA you can’t go out on your own.  Especially if you are a woman, and white.

 

But yeh… shoe on the other foot nobody cares because of their race.

I think this Boers refuge thing is just political signaling. A total of 54 Boers have been immigrated  to the USA so far - a very small number. I think it’s just middle finger to the SA ANC and political signaling. Most Boers are well to do in SA and prefer to stay.

 

If thousand would apply to immigrate to the USA, they probably would get denied.

That doesn't seem accurate at all. You may be a doctor, but the real truth about vaccines and myocarditis risk was terribly surpressed here in the USA. Maybe not Canada or Europe, but you didn't have Fauci running the show.

Yeah, I’ve met many people who fled South Africa (moving here to Australia) due to violence. Awful stories. Can’t go out at night. Frequently held up at gun point. Your home security is like a prison with all the locks.

 

I haven’t met a single person who missed SA and wanted to go back.

Our Au Pair is from SA. She’s white, I think if we’re being honest, she is probably mixed but looks like white with a nice tan. Anyway, it’s rough there, her family was robbed, tied up in the house etc. crime runs rampant, walls around the house, bars on windows, don’t leave at night, don’t go in certain areas. She’s been with us for 2 years and heads back next month. Last year we had her parents come over for a visit, both white, said the same thing. They were astonished that we park cars on the streets, all homes are in the open without fences/walls, they said it felt soo safe. 
 

I have no doubt that crime in general is horrible in SA, for everyone, AND that often whites are targeted. It can be both. 
 

Do I also think that it is a publicity stunt that Trump all of a sudden cares? Yep. Do I think that it’s selective in how human lives are valued in the world and when they care about who is being targeted and needlessly killed and needs to be “helped” by the US taking action and step in? Yep.

Reuters now reporting that the video Trump showed during his meeting with SA President was actually footage from the Democratic Republic of Congo.  It was footage from Congo's battles with Rwandan rebels. 

 

First the photoshopped MS13 tattoos and now fake SA video?  If the Onion posted these things I would say it was too farfetched because no administration would be that stupid.  I stand corrected.
