Things I think you are ignoring include that he has only been in power for 3 months and you are talking stats that lag significantly. Many of the issues around debt were done under Biden so you are insulting Democrats. The reforms that are needed are being blocked by Dem judges. If we really want to criticize trump we need to wait to the end of his term and let him carry out his mandate in the meantime, at least for the economic issues. If we are to criticize him maybe you can explain why every other country in the world, Canada, EU, almost any country except maybe Norway, is such a shit show. What is the common denominator there.. it is socialism. Trump is trying to walk the line between socialism and staying elected and he should be criticized for some of his leftist stances but then what alternative do you provide? Every country is a shit show. There isn't a country in the world where everyone thinks things are perfect. The idea that they're all socialist is just silly. Australia is hardly socialist and they haven't had a recession in over 50 years. It's one of the best lifestyles in the world yet people still bitch and complain there. Ironically, the countries thst consistently rank as the happiest in the world tend to be the "socialist" ones. The US is usually way down that list despite economic success. People just like to complain. See this board as proof.

No accountability for the Biden Crime Family? $40M fleece and influence peddling, while daddy jets him around on Air Force 2? For sure - no double standards here.....plain wrong what Hunter was at and that Joe didn't stop him or tell Burisma to kick him off the board makes him complicit. But you know what these guys are at now is quite something - - shitcoin launch 48hrs pre-inauguration with millions of tokens in reserve to be sold at anytime to people unknown with no underlying KYC/AML/FARA framework - stablecoin launch - which is the functional equivalent of the First Family of the United States opening a bank AFTER the patriarch is elected - now Eric running around the Middle East doing deals for the family.....with his daddy coming in 14 days after him This stuff is a disgrace. I guess Hunter's only crime was he was thinking too small.....$50k p/m from Burisma is cool, but you know whats cooler a few bn. We've talked about it before @cubsfan but the Trump crime family with this stuff is slowly but surely creating a populist movement of the left.....this stuff is fuel in the fire for that. I try to give Trump his due when I can. But cant help but feel that TDS is a mental crutch that Trump supporters desperately need to overcome the cognitive dissonance that must occur when their idealistic view of the President meets with the reality I laid out above.......easier to dismiss the messenger than deal with the horrible facts that "your' guy isn't an angel that fell from heaven. Quite the opposite. Edited May 1, 2025 by changegonnacome

Referring back to your question about Brookfield...Brookfield isn't paid by taxpayers, it's a for-profit company. Not only has Trump not put his private assets into a blind trust, he's continuously still involved with much of the operations and investments they are making...such as the shitcoin they made $2B on today. A better example would have been the ability of Congress to invest in stocks they have inside information on...Pelosi, etc. That should be illegal, just like Trump's business activities while President. Cheers!

My point is that he could have gotten the same results with a scalpel, less chaos, probably weeded out the really wasteful stuff, and protected the borders and U.S. growth. But...he thrives on the suffering of others...like a parasite or weed! Cheers!

Support for unions in many states, albeit weak support. Military funding in general which is at huge dollars. Yes leaving social security in place, although understandable.

Goldberg: I think the Canadians would disagree. Trump: Well, the Canadians. Here’s the problem I have with Canada: We’re subsidizing them to the tune of $200 billion a year. And we don’t need their gasoline; we don’t need their oil; we don’t need their lumber. We don’t need their energy of any type. We don’t need anything they have. I say it would make a great 51st state. I love other nations. I love Canada. I have great friends. Wayne Gretzky’s a friend of mine. I mean, I have great friends. I said to Wayne, “I’m gonna give you a pass, Wayne.” I don’t want to ruin his reputation in Canada. I said, “Just pretend you don’t know me.” But they’re great people. You know, they do 95 percent of their business with us. Remember, if they’re a state, there’s no tariffs. They have lower taxes. We have to guard them militarily. Goldberg: You seriously want them to become a state? Trump: I think it would be great. Goldberg: A hell of a big Democratic state. Trump: A lot of people say that, but I’m okay with it if it has to be, because I think, you know, actually, until I came along— Goldberg: I’m no political genius, but I know which way they’re going to vote. They have socialized medicine. Trump: You know, until I came along, remember that the conservative was leading by 25 points. Parker: It’s true. Trump: Then I was disliked by enough of the Canadians that I’ve thrown the election into a close call, right? I don’t even know if it’s a close call. But the conservative, they didn’t like Governor Trudeau too much, and I would call him Governor Trudeau, but he wasn’t fond of that. This guy is insane. We don't want to be part of the US. Why would we give up our political power / voice? How could all of Canada be one state? These people don't know anything about Canada or its history.
