Small initial starter position in JYSK.CPH [Jyske Bank A/S] at DKK 486.20 today. It dropped 9% today on a 2024Q3 report that was as about as expected, and on the introduction of a New Strategy, which I read as basically 'more of the same, as usual', while all analysts and commentators  are screaming 'booh-booh', combined with a <thumb down>.👎

P/B~ 0.68, P/E ~5.4, ROE ~ 13.5%, ROTCE ~ 14.8%, ongoing dividends and share buybacks, the bank running without any major challenges for now.

I bought some Berkshire b shares.

The statistical weak months September and October are over.

The election is coming to the end and there could be a rally, because of ending of uncertainty.

Results are coming at Saturday and I am betting on that the gift will still keep giving.

Picked up a few shares of VRRM and POWWP.  VRRM seems to be trading down way too much on a good quarter because of weakness in their parking business.   POWWP is trading at ~$19 and it's a $25 cumulative preferred for a company with terrible management but no net debt, so I haven't been able to figure out the discount.

Not the ideal ending outcome for shareholders - bought at book but if you've been buying more on dips its worked out ok

Agreed, and it's fine if this is one of a basket.

Well I have a standing buy order for 1500 shares of FRPH at $29. IBKR filled 500. The other 1000 are on order through Fido. I guess you get what you pay for!

One of the many reasons I own IBKR.

A resting limit order got hit on Friday, so I have some more JOE from that and a little more this morning.

Very small adds to some starter positions that I am dollar cost averaging into a little each day (RTO, ENPH, VRRM, CROX and DHT).
