You're welcome! I feel like I really need to dig in to look for opportunities, now that I can't find any low hanging fruit with the alts. I do still feel like the group BX/ARES/KKR/APO/BAM/CG/OWL can do well over the long term, but the valuations are high across the board.

I overbought Google on the dip and have been trimming the past couple of days to keep at 20% weighting, which is probably the most I feel comfortable owning in any company that I don't personally control, no matter how good the prospects look.

I also bought more OXY a month ago (right before it started really dropping), and have been selling my higher basis shares to offset gains and keep the same weighting.

Sold some TPB - has been on a tear lately. I believe it’s due to them having introduced nicotine pouches but I am not quite sure.

Sold my position in Enovix for a small profit.  It's not worth the mental bandwidth to keep monitoring it, and management's surprise equity raise the day after the conference call, where it wasn't mentioned, makes me unlikely to make it a bigger position even if things start going right.

Using that IB mid price algorithm to sell a bit of Nelnet before earnings.  Up a lot this morning.

How do you find that algorithm functions? I see it all the time but I have no idea how it works, so I just put limit orders in at the bid (if it's a 1-cent bid/ask difference) or just calculate the midpoint myself.

I only use it on stock where there is a big spread.  I often get fills that don't show up on the chart that are better than the stock officially trades at.  Sometimes it takes a while but this morning the fills have been very good and pretty quick.  A lot of the stuff I trade won't execute on the bid or the ask and if I calculate the midpoint and put in a limit sell it will just move the ask and signal the market I am trying to sell.

Same here. I have used the Midprice algorithm on SSD and MELI, for example, and it gets better and faster fills than limit orders.

Unfortunately Midprice algo is not available for FRFHF or FFH.

Trimmed shitty bank

Same. I sold some calls that will get exercised, also took the opportunity to trim further.

Trimmed some TAYD, which was up double digits today, and trimmed some GOOG to keep it at the portfolio weight I want.  I still like both companies but I'm trimming to get my margin down a little before the end of the year.

Thinking about selling HIFS tomorrow -- not sure why that would be up so much but ill take it

I unloaded HIFS today and rotated into CPNG.

Why BTI?

It was a small trading position which I was up nicely on. I rolled the proceeds of shitty, BTI and cash on hand into JOE which is now a core position.  I still really like BTI and would buy it again.

Trimmed some GOOG again to keep it at 20%.

I also trimmed a little HHH in my retirement account.  I know Ackman said that he considering making an offer for the whole thing, but my retirement account is valuable real estate and I've been waiting for this to turnaround since the pandemic.
