Why do you like it Greg?.

Same reasons I loved Hamilton Thorne. Valuation has come back down to Earth from the post covid rip. Been waiting for it around $150-160 SEK...it's good here IMO. Same goes for COO, but I like Vitrolife way more as the smaller cap pure play.

Thanks. Are you buying in IB?

More Vitrolife

Why?  They laid out a plan for 10% organic annual revenue growth at their 2023 capital markets day.  Did 4% in 2023 and 4% in 2024 and Q1 2025.  What will change/accelerate growth?  Do you know why the CFO left abruptly?  Thank you.

Added a bit to MC.PA [LVMH - Moët Hennesy Louis Vuitton SE] today, at EUR ~485.

They had a bunch of issues with the genetics acquisition they made and in general there was still a lot of the supply chain/covid carryover mishmash showing up with these companies in 2023. Currency headwinds as well IIRC. No idea on the specifics of the CFO but haven't heard anything indicating something to be concerned about. In a steady state environment I think normalization is low double digit organic growth. Tariffs could be a headwind, but that's also been factored into the valuation. Also a takeout candidate.

Why do you like Bain FP?  I saw many sum of the parts pitches on the name, but never pulled the trigger.  Thank you.

Marco [ @Marco Van Basten ],

A basket of trophy assets, that I think likely never really will go out of favor, to own for the long term. [When I'm personally motivated for it, I may perhaps and eventually open and start a separate topic about it in the Investment Ideas forum].

Ok, I swore off on not doing any bear market hedging. But, old habits die hard and I caved in😅

I read Kuppy's Q1 letter which scared me enough and couple of days back Jamie Dimon talking about the credit issue. So decided to protect myself aka light some money on fire on those premiums. ~70% of my pf is hedged against a >10% drawdown. I bought SPY and QQQ puts. For Fairfax which is 30% of my pf, I decided to buy Markel puts to cover 2/3rd of my FF position.

Added a bit more today in the morning hours to MC.PA at EUR ~483. Should likely have been more stingy with the orders.

Nice one John, might start to add a bit more myself later today. It’s still only a 4% position for me so might try get that up to 5 or 6%
