Lol, I am willing to bet that the people who predominantly own Teslas are those on the political left.  People don't like giving money to companies run by people they don't like - it's just how the world works.

 

It's not just Tesla, the Disney thread had some chatter about their strategy of producing content which alienated people - not helped when they directly got involved in Florida politics.  Also look at what happened with Budweiser when they pushed a particularly agenda.

Yep, the “Radical left wing Lunatics”, as Trump calls then, are the predominant Tesla customer. 
 

So I don’t think Trump‘s “endorsement”  is going to help much.

 

I also noticed another little thing - Starlink is now running ads on X. Just another case of conglomerate synergies in action.

Everyone in my generation read this book in school. We also discussed it in history class pertaining to then current events.

I read Danish translation of 'Animal farm' as curriculum in elementary school, in Danish, eighth or nineth year, I think ['Animal farm' was in the Danish translation translated to 'Kammerat Napoleon' in Danish, which again translates back to English by 'Comrade Napoleon']. 

 

I've read '1984' translated to Danish in Danish curriculum in high school.

If this cease-fire actually takes hold, how will this be spun against the Trump administration? It should have been a better deal for Ukraine? I'm not MAGA, but I do believe in giving him the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully it works out.

Why does it need spun?  It’s potentially an end which is good.  There may be a bitter taste depending on how everything pans out but it’s a start.

The good thing about this potential 30-day ceasefire is that, it will right away show if Moscow is serious or not.
 

The ball is with Kremlin.
 

I suspect that was the intent.

Well it seems like everything is now spun by the "LEFT" and the "RIGHT". I don't even know how everyone finds themselves on the same page on every political issue.

 

For example, the typical progressive of 2025 (following my progressive social media friends) apparently believes that Elon Musk was dropped on his head one too many times, but nevertheless because of his dad's emeralds and slave labor, and stealing IP from poor inventor's he has seen wild success. 

 

These same progressives were driving Tesla's mocking conspiracy theorists 2-3 years ago. 

 

So it doesn't need to be spun. But it will, one way or the other. 

 

Trump could bring world peace, and lasting economic success, and he would still be the next Adolph Hitler to 35% of the country. Same with Kamala or Joe Biden with another 35%.

I think this was similar to what was on the table a while ago and rejected by the Russians. I would be surprised if the Russian agree to this now. Fingers crossed.

If he hasn’t been dropped on his head he has been taking one too many joints.  He’s impulsive and regularly says wild stuff.  I think he should dip from politics, he does too many other good things.

 

Politicans spin all the time.  Biden saying under his leadership job growth far exceeded that of Trump’s missing of course important context.  Biden also repeated the lie about Trump saying Nazis were ‘fine people’.

 

Trump says and most ridiculous things too.  He spins like all politicians and lies too, only his tend to be bigger.

Thanks for bringing this up, I'm not a MAGA supporter, and I even reluctantly voted for Biden in 2020 and came to regret my decision. But literally this is the lie that Biden based his entire campaign on. The reason he "decided to run" and I still hear people today talk about how Trump called the Nazi's "fine people".

Completely agree with you on this point. He always says the most absurd things, and some people can't seem to get over it. I think this is his rhetorical style, and I certainly don't take it seriously anymore. I think he did OK his first time in office on MANY issues, the whole January 6 debacle and undermining the election results were the rock bottom.

Just so you know Red Lion, I’ve been poltically ‘conservative’ from my early 20s.  My criticisms of Trump and Elon don’t come from the political left.  But I think I can still call a spade a spade.

Radical, lunatics, illegal when it's the left/independents boycotting a Tesla.

 

Totally reasonable, legal, and responsible for the right to have done the same with Disney.

The boycotts to Disney and Bud were child’s play compared to what is happening with Tesla. I think we could be seeing 50% down on deliveries. Several European counties are ~75% down on deliveries.  I mean Bud was all about an ad of a Trans Dylan cracking a beer. Elon involvement here is on another Galaxy.

 

I don’t think that Trump doing a Tesla car sales event on the White House lawn is going to help much.

 

Starlink will slow take significant damage but less so than Tesla, imo. The issue for foreign users is security.

But being associated with white nationalism is far more damaging to your brand in one direction than being open/accepting to alternative lifestyles is in the other - even if you feel in some cases it was forced virtue signaling.
