There's a few movies that I can watch over and over.  If they are on, I'll watch.  Godfather 1 & 2, Goodfellas, Shawshank Redemption, A Fist Full of Dollars, A Few Dollars More, Heat, etc.

The film I consider the best movie on baseball (other than Field of Dreams) and one I can watch over and over (watching it right now) is Moneyball.  Just love this movie!  Cheers!

@Parsad I love rewatching any of those old Clint Eastwood movies. And of course Shawshank Redemption.

I think those two are the best Westerns ever made.  The acting, charisma, cinematography, music, editing, action...they are perfect!  And made by a crazy Italian at that!  Cheers!

After Longmire was dropped from Netfilx on January 1, a friend told me about Dark Winds, which has a similar vibe. It's set on a Navajo reservation in the 1970s and it follows the police chief as he solves crimes. Apparently it's based on the Longhorn and Chee series of books, which I hadn't heard of until I watched the show, but George RR Martin is one of the producers, so he is a fan of the books, apparently.

Apropos of current events, we watched "The Conclave" last night. Really well done story telling. They really captured the weird dynamic of people jockeying to be selected Pope, but pretending to be not interested in being Pope, because "Ambition" is a disqualifier for the position. If your competition is older "at his age can he handle the stress. If your competition is younger "does he have the experience?" and a lot of rumor mongering.

Movie was like an 8 or 9 out of 10 until the end - all of the infighting and ambition was fascinating. Plus, I didn’t know anything about a papal conclave, so it was also informative on top of being well-made with top tier acting.

I won’t go into details to spoil anything, but it absolutely cratered in the last 10 minutes. Went from an 8/9 out of 10 to probably a 2 out of 10. One of the worst endings I’ve ever seen.

Really?  You didn't see that coming from like 30 minutes in?  The details, yes, that surprised but the outcome was forgone from the first vote.

I saw the winner coming.

I didn’t see the other part coming. I’m not sure why I would see that coming?

Andor is a really incredible show. The first season was great, the second...wow. The three episodes released today left me speechless. Incredible writing, directing, and acting.

Some of the best fiction books of the past 20 years.

The first tv series was stellar. Great acting and a superb soundtrack.

I imported the blu ray of The  Mirror and The Light and will be watching as soon as it gets here.

I also really liked Bernard Cornwell's "Saxon Chronicles" which covers the period around Alfred the Great. Lot's of factual history and characters, fleshed out with fictional characters and some shuffling of dates to suit the story. He footnotes where he took liberties.

This might have already been recommended..Adolescence is a must watch. That kid is one hell of an actor!

Not just the kid, the parents (especially the dad) and  the psychologist in Episode 3 were superb as well. One of the best Tv shows In have watched for years Superb script - the best one I can recall since the Station 11 miniseries. This deserves to get showered with awards.

Seriously?

Netflix race-swapped a murder — the kind that rarely happened in Britain before mass Third World immigration — but that is now commonplace enough to make a (heavily) fictionalized movie about it.

That’s because the elites in politics and entertainment fear the reaction, justifiable as though it might be, if the popular culture reflected the reality of what the elites hath wrought.

+1. Episode 3 is incredible. Have watched this series a few times now (various family member iterations) It is confronting but so engaging.

Worth checking out the “Making of Adolesence” on Youtube.

Mobland on Paramount has been amazing!  Some of Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and Paddy Considine's best work.  Cheers!

Yes, violently good. Glad I’m just an investor and not a mobster.
