  1. That is the one thing the founding fathers missed, term limits. Should be 6 years max in both the house and senate. It should be done as a service to your country not as an occupation.

  9. Two women were out for a Saturday stroll with their dogs. One had a Doberman and the other, a Chihuahua. As they walked down the street, the one with the Doberman said to herfriend, "Let's go over to that bar for a drink." The lady with the Chihuahua said, "We can't go in there. We've got the dogs with us." The one with the Doberman said, "Just watch and do as I do." They walked over to the bar and the one with the Doberman put on a pair of dark glasses and started to walk in... The bouncer at the door said, "Sorry, lady, no pets allowed." The woman with the Doberman said, "You don't understand. This is my seeing-eye dog." The bouncer said, "A Doberman?" The woman said, "Yes, they're using them now. They're very good." The bouncer said, "OK, come on in." The lady with the Chihuahua thought that convincing him that a Chihuahua was a seeing-eye dog may be a bit more difficult, but thought, "What the heck," so she put on her dark glasses and started to walk in. Once again the bouncer said, "Sorry, lady, no pets allowed." The woman said, "You don't understand. This is my seeing-eye dog." The bouncer said, "A Chihuahua ?" The woman said indignantly, "A Chihuahua ? They gave me a darn Chihuahua ???????"

  12. When NT bought CLFY I kept the NT stock I had about a ten bagger and I didn't sell NT till I gave about half of my gain back.
  13. @RedLion If you buy a put back for a loss, you have a tax loss on that trade that you claim on your tax return. Your tax loss is not affected by any different puts you write on the same stock such as you are doing.
  14. It'll be an interesting Black Friday, which is usually a very subdued trading day.

  19. I wrote some MSGE Dec 17 expiration puts.
  20. You can get assigned at any time, but it is very rare to get assigned before expiration.
  21. If they start heading ITM you can always buy them back so you don't have to go on margin. You could then either accept a small loss, or sell some Nov 26 puts. The Nov 26 puts could be at a lower strike and between the two plays you could still come out ahead.
  22. About half are in accounts that would put me on margin. That is why I like to use short-term puts and if ITM I will BTC and STO same strike but further out in time rather than get put to and sell covered calls where I would have to pay margin interest. I would probably be 10% on margin if I were put to on everything. But I suspect that is a once every 10 year event and I can always cover it by mortgaging my house! House mortgage rates are way better than Schwab margin rates.
