  1. @Spekulatius You are right, it works. I was looking at a stock that was a spin out, so it wasn't trading back in 2006 and why Yahoo Finance wasn't showing any data. Sorry, my error, Thanks, Mike
  2. Bill, Yes that was the date of death, so I guess I have to go to January 13. Thanks, Mike
  3. Problem solved, I can do it on Schwab.
  4. @Spekulatius Yahoo Finance won't let me go back that far, to January 2006.
  5. I need to look up the prices for some stocks on January 15, 2006. This is the date my wife inherited some stocks that we sold this year. I am having trouble finding a site that will give historic prices more than 10 years ago. Does anyone have a site where I can find this info? TIA Mike
  6. Is anyone else having a problem with logging in to Schwab from TurboTax? I get the message, "Login is temporarily unavailable. Please try again or call customer support". Edit: I had no problem with logging into Interactive Brokers and downloading data.

  13. When I got a pdf copy of the book I started reading it with great anticipation. It has been a while so I don't remember much except that I was disappointed. I didn't see what all the fuss was about with this book.
  14. I bought back the Jan 28 expiration, 47.5 strike puts for $0.67 and sold the Feb 11 expiration, 46-strike puts for $1.06

  18. How did shareholders of companies like Mercedes Benz do over this time period?
  19. I have a large BRKB position that I would not write covered calls on because I would end up with a big tax bill because of the long-term capital gains. I ofter write puts on BRKB, and if I get put to I turn around and write covered calls on those shares because that usually got me on margin. I did those recent covered calls in my IRA because there would be no tax implications. Since BRKB was making new highs every day I felt there was a good chance I could get those shares back if I was put to because BRKB would revisit those prices.
  20. @Aurel Most definitely! I got that album the day it came out and I have listened to it many, many times.
  21. My daughter used to have a condo just up the street from the Whiskey. Once when I was visiting I had to take this shot of the billboard. I am also a huge Doors fan.
  22. Thanks @Aurel, I listened to a little of it. I'll find time this weekend to watch it all. As I mentioned, I am a huge fan of Neil and Crazy Horse. Edit: Probably my favorite album is Everybody Knows This is Nowhere, although I have probably listened to Harvest more than any other album.
