Accepting Trump peace deal is probably similar to unconditional surrender, that’s the issue. The USA has taken the same position than Russia and that’s basically that Ukraine is “ little Russia” and belongs to them.

Sad part is that the Democrats have no one and nothing to rebut or fight this with.  Trott out Nancy Pelosi...have poor one-legged Texas congressman Al Green stand on one leg and protest, then have him marched out.  Like is this the best the Democrats can do?  And some of the issues that are important to both parties and Americans were never dealt with.  So now the Dems sit and watch and twiddle their thumbs because there is no Obama or Bill Clinton coming to the rescue this time.  Cheers!

C'mon, you know the majority of those people are glitches/errors/etc that weren't found or dealt with.  Probably half those checks go to an address and get sent back to the government.  Yes, they should have been discovered and corrected, but you know they were errors.  Now where there might be fraud...kudos to DOGE for finding it.  But so far, they've barely made a tiny dent in the deficit, let alone covering even a tiny portion of it.  Cheers!

NSF is now bringing back workers who were illegally let go. They will also be getting back pay, and I suspect there will be lawsuit compensation for them in the future. If only this admin had followed the process and done it the right way, as most of the HR departments had told them to do. Talk about waste and abuse. Throw in DOJ lying to courts on OPM's behalf and you have fraud.

That's actually probably correct.  Dems need to go centrist and right wing Reagan.  Current GOP is some other animal...like the worst personalities you could put together in a lab!  And the left-wing nutjobs in the Democratic party...need to go.  Cheers!

I just wrote a great response and somehow lost it. So a quicker and dirtier response:

 

1) There's always been a latent racist/nationalistic/anti-immigrant group in America.

2) Yet more women and minorities voted for Trump in 2024 than in 2016 or 2020. 

3) This is an issue of the Democrats moving to the (minority) progressive persuasion of their party even though the American people can't stand it

4) The middle moves elections, not the entrenched voters on both sides, and the Democrats of the last few years have moved so far out of line with the American people that they held their nose and voted for Donald Trump. 

5) I bet John Fetterman would have won. Not because he's a white, working class man's man (although I'm sure some voters would love that), but because he's a centrist

6) All great Democrat presidents (except perhaps FDR) have been centrists.

Would they let him in the White House in shorts and a hoodie?  Yet, somehow he got into the Presidential Inauguration and no one cared.  So it's not exactly just middle America picking sides.  There's a definite...you can do this and you can't...just the other side of the spectrum now.

You're not really objective on this topic in my opinion.  Some of the finest people I know come from immigrant backgrounds and yet I am strongly opposed to the current immigration policies in most of the western world. This is nothing 'latent', this is purely based on statistical evidence I am presented with. We are getting overrun by more people we can handle, many are refusing to accept western laws/values and vastly increase the crime rates of the countries they move to. Mainly middle-east & sub-Sahara African immigrants ruining it for the rest but oh well...
