I guess the people at Jerusalem Post and The Times of Israel are all going to jail then. Folks, don't fall for this BS.

In Israel, sharing images or videos of military operations, such as missile strikes, on social media is prohibited due to security concerns. Unauthorized publication can lead to legal consequences, including imprisonment. For instance, in January 2026, an Israeli soldier was sentenced to 20 days in prison for posting a video of himself firing shots towards Gaza, which the IDF deemed a severe incident violating operational discipline and safety norms.

I think the plan is to get the Iran to hand over this material as part of a deal.

Iran agreed to hand it all over PRIOR to the war yet in Israel/US infinite wisdom they still attacked thinking they could get regime change. (If I could have told you that was BS you really question their intelligence/decision making)

@Spekulatius, it will all make sense in a few more years. I remember when I thought someone who was 20 was old...

OK, I'm also seriously considering a POW exchange proposal to Sanjeev [ @Parsad ] : Take me for a four weeks period in stead, and please release these two gents in exchange after two weeks! 😅 - I'm personally sure it'll do me good! 😅

<John, the self-sacrifying , opportinistical war hero, maybe soon playing victim>

Can't do that John...Buffett talks about incentives...what type of incentive would it be to ban you for errors in judgment by other members?!

I adjusted Xerxes ban...he will be free tomorrow.  He just needed to stop arguing and go back to posting.

73Reds on the other hand gets his full 30 days...he's been emailing me justifying his position and that he doesn't need to apologize for anything.  I told him I wasn't looking for an apology, only that he needed to detach himself from the thread for a bit.

Ourkid8 really should have been another ban...but he stopped arguing and went back to posting.  He's under watch right now!

I don't like banning people, but just focus on debating and posting, not personal attacks guys!  Cheers!

Exactly, why do you think I am trying to share the other perspective?

As value investors, I really expect better of this group to see past the noise yet all I see is Israeli/US propaganda. (both governments we should be questioning based on their past/current actions)

The Israelis are taking a beating, no doubt.

It's not hard to find, just have to look for it.  It's widely reported on 2 of the YouTube news channels and Jerusalem Post.

Pretty much the only reason I posted them.

Why take them away - they let Biden drive the car for 4 frickin' years - and told us everything was perfectly normal!

Yeah, but Iran solves the problem by just shutting down the internet completely - so it's own citizens don't know a thing!

21 innocent peaceful protesters have been arrested in Israel who are protesting against the war. - I really feel for those people who will probably get tortured! @Parsad @Viking@John Hjorth @cubsfan @Marco Van Basten i would love to hear your opinion!

Israel thought protests would erupt in Iran but they are uniting as a country where millions are signing up for service.  Israel on the other hand is slowly falling apart. This is the difference between right/wrong.

Why in the world would you let up?

You are negotiating with someone you can not trust.

You are negotiating with someone who only reacts to strength and pressure.

Is this referring to Iran or America?

Do you feel for them more or less than for the thousands killed in Iran in January?

This is the same fake news that Cubs sees in the U.S.  I think Cubs and Ourkid8 are brothers from another mother!  Neither can see past their noses.

It's a lost cause for both...we can only wish them well as they delve deeper into their own dementia!  🤣  Cheers!

@ourkid8, if you are asking if I would prefer to get arrested (Israel) or shot (Iran) for protesting… I would choose the Israeli option.

Well this is  a bit of a joke but neither side has an incentive to really negotiate at this point. Even if Trump wanted to stop this war, it not clear he can as Israel might just continue what they do as they have been driven the bus here.

This is going to take a while and further escalation is likely. I hope I am wrong here and sometimes things can change quickly, but Donnie does not seem in control of the situation here.

This whole thread has Iran are nazis, antisemites, killing innocents, terrorists etc yet the “chosen” people who are trying to free Iranians of these atrocities are pretty much doing exactly the same if not worse. My goal is to open people’s eyes of this situation.

Not a single person has said Iranians are nazis, antisemites, killing innocents...they said that the regime's agenda over nearly four decades is to fund state-sponsored terrorist activity and specifically target the destruction of Israel.  This is not debatable.

Now, if you want to say that the U.S. has been involved in creating terrorist groups through CIA funding, killed more people in wars than almost any other nation in the last 100 years, and is the only country to drop the atomic bomb on human populations...fair game!

But denying the atrocities that the current Iranian regime is/has been involved with is just ignorance or a state of denial!  Cheers!

Yes indeed, the CIA has a very disgraceful history and so much of that has been suppressed in the media. I think the average American has no idea how bad the CIA has been.

And it's quite sad that the USA needed to drop an atomic bomb to save millions of lives. A terrible dilemma indeed.

War is a horrible thing.

There is a lag from the time oil production stops to when it impacts the global economy. The map below provides some great insight - the rough timing of when oil deliveries will drop off for each region.

  • Africa: March 20 - April 1
  • Asia: April 1
  • Europe: April 10
  • US: April 15
  • Australia: April 20
