And for what? When did the city of Minneapolis become so important for immigration enforcement? So idiotic

It's meant to be a message to Trump's political enemies - Walz was the VP on the ticket opposed to him.

"You don't wanna end up like Walz and MN, do yah?"

Yeah, nothing like having $18B stolen right under your nose - and punishing your own state employees for telling you about it.

And to think this worthless POS could have been VP.

Clearly this guy was a worthless terrorist assassin, right? I mean a male nurse. He clearly didn't do anything valuable for society like sit on his computer and trade stocks all day.

He was a very valuable member of society - just reckless and stupid.  Such a waste of talent.

Yea, another stupid, emotion driven attempt to falsely characterize this as something other than what it was.

It’s been well noted, how many super smart, well meaning and benevolent people can on a dime totally lose their minds when anything Trump related comes up.

Best summed up by Elon in this clip

In this instance, a guy who by all means appears to be a decent dude, decided to take up the hobby of obstructing a law enforcement operation. Doubled down on the stupidity by bringing a gun with him to do it. End result…again tragic.

my observation:

The right is "pro life" - absolutely no termination of life of any kind - but you are more or less on your own  to find ways to pay for your own health , etc while alive.

the left isn't necessairly "pro life" at birth  or at end of life, but during your lifetime, they want to spend money to make sure you get free healthcare.

different philosophies !

oddly enough, this is very optimal but maybe not very empathetic.

ICE has more members than the Marines….let that sink in…anyone defending this “Trump version of ICE” At this point is cherry picking any “good” that they do and buzzing right in by the miles of despicable, sadistic, and constitutional rights violations these bums are carrying out on a daily basis. Shootings aside it’s madness.

Let’s say the killing was justified, same with Renee Good (neither were justified).

The fact that the FBI decided to investigate Renee Good’s spouse and refused to investigate the killing itself should say it all.

It’s a clown show.

It's so easy for arm-chair quarterbacks to say something like this - it's not your life that is being threatened by lunatics.

Well, I have the answer….pic 2;

Howard Schultz

Mike Bloomberg

Mitt Romney

Josh Shapiro

Joe Manchin

get 75% of the popular vote and 400 electoral votes….

But nah. No successful business people, no Jews, no racist rednecks from West Virginia, and certainly no billionaire Mormons…

As usual, Trump had the upper hand politically in Minnesota with the rampant fraud. Walz resigned. Trump had the upper hand and he literally had to do nothing and let the FBI investigate the fraud.

He then sends his goons in who screw up the situation so bad: two citizens dead. The U.S. attorney investigating the fraud resigned. Will turn most of the country against him re: the situation in Minnesota. He had the upper hand and now it will cost him and his party.

And every day that the ICE forces remain in Minnesota, it's just a tinderbox waiting to explode again with more dead Americans.

Listening to cranks Miller, Noem, etc. Stuff these people touch just turns to sh$t

My guess is the intend was to cause riots in Minnesota so he can “justify” using the insurrection act. This mean he can use the military. It’s basically like declaring martial law - an autocrats wet dream.

Perhaps now the Dems will be the party of 2nd amendment, free trade, and foreign wars. They gotta go all in and embrace big business and maybe put up one of the above. Get funding from the Koch’s and NRA, and clean up next election

I have been a long time lurker on this board.  I have worked with Alex for a number of years.  He was a very kind and outstanding nurse.  While he had a gun - he had it legally.  He didn’t have it in his hands.  He was a nurse and did what a good nurse does - went to the rescue of another woman who was being attacked.  He only had his phone in his one hand and nothing in the other.  He seemed to be on the ground fully subdued when he was shot.  It really is a tragedy.

And they have a chance…because the republicans are latched til death do they part with the Trump faithful. Democrats have at best a shitty scattershot identity. You can see it everywhere, even here of all places…these nutties whom think everything is a Nazi and that the entire universe hinges on discrimination conspiracies against gay and brown people. Ditch that woe is me crap and adopt some common sense folks, and there’s so much ground to make up.

The lunatics are threatening peaceful US citizens, can happen to any of us.

It's absolutely brilliant 4-D level chess that Trump gambled so much of his political capital on...ICE raids in Minneapolis. Literally a 3rd tier city with probably a tiny number of illegal immigrants. Could have just investigated the fraud and won big political points.

Of all the things on Trump's agenda, he somehow felt THIS was important enough to risk everything??? I mean, there's Ukraine, Iran, NATO, Venezuela, affordability, healthcare, etc etc so many more important things he could have focused on. Any idiot could have foreseen that ICE escalation in Minneapolis would blow back at him.

Trump really owns this and deserves what he gets. Even Rogan turned against him after Renee Good. Like I said, an American Citizen ICU nurse who took care of veterans and all around seemed like a good dude. Noem and Stephen Miller rushed to call him a "terrorist assassin". The video footage is crystal clear. Not going to go well for Trump or his party.

It's a terrible awful tragedy.  What in the world would possess him to take a gun, approach law enforcement, and then NOT comply to put his hands behind his back and actively resist law enforcement.

IF you are law enforcement - and someone approaches you with a gun that is hostile to your efforts- you are in a very very dangerous situation.

So sorry to hear.

It was a straight up execution. He was on the ground shot in the back.

This is a video showing so that anyone except the blind cult followers can see

Genuine condolences. Losing good people because of politics sucks. It should be clear as day to anyone that the politicians and the media that enable the division are the enemy.

There was little mention of it the other day, likely hidden on purpose, reports of Trump and Newsome laughing and buddying around backstage at Davos. Jokes on all of us

No more making fun of people who call the administration Nazis/fascists until you call out his VP for calling him Hitler

(not the one he tried to have hanged)

Except that's not what happened--he went to go assist a woman and was not brandishing a weapon:

You can deny the footage all you want. The public is not going to be so gracious. Trump's squad is cooked.

The Nazi crap has been low hanging Obama style name calling that folks have attempted to hang on Trump for over a decade. Vance too back when he was angling for his own benefit. That SC Senator too. Ted Cruz too. It discredits one’s argument simply hanging the hat on “Nazi” because there’s sooooo many other, clear and more legitimate gripes out there.
