Stupid people need to be told what to do.

Exactly!!!!  The problem is stupid people dont know they're stupid.  Nobody would care if stupid people only harmed themselves.  Its when stupid people harm others that laws tend to pop up to stop it.  So if people find those laws to be restrictive, maybe they just fall on the wrong side of stupid.

This a crazy and authoritarian post.  Kind of ironic.

Most of the childhood vaccines are not for diseases like Ebola or AIDs.

Some are for Hep which a child is unlikely to get.

Apparently TWS is a version of CTE.  It does help explain the UFC/MMA’s support for MAGA.

Controversial UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell who said he was “willing to take a bullet for the President” appears to have changed his tune when it comes to President Trump.

"I do not like the guy at all” Mitchell said. "The first thing for me was he didn’t release the Epstein files. They’re even acting like they didn’t exist. And, of course, they’re sending Israel and Ukraine all of our tax dollars just like the numb-nuts before him did. Putting America last, and now he’s blaming the beef farmers for the price of beef. Hey, I’m not biased, man. He talked a good game, he tricked me. I was fooled. I admit it.”

"Now, let me tell you how bad I think this is though. This is really this bad, guys. I want y’all, if you’re a Christian, I want you to get into Revelation 13:3, and I want you to read that verse — yeah, about the Antichrist, about the one who was fatally wounded in the head; then he was miraculously healed and the whole world marveled at him and said, ‘No man can make war with him.’ Yeah, I do think that Donald Trump is that beast of Revelation 13:3. Yeah, go read it. Go read it."

Ireland has a childhood vaccination rate of 91% which puts it below the threshold for establishing herd immunity.  So not an accomplishment and not a model for other nations.

Yet we seem to be living here without any political issues related to vaccines, outbreaks of various diseases related to unvaccinated people, or general panic that our country is going to hell due to a lack of vaccine mandate.

I'm not aware of an ebola or aids vaccine but if there was one id get it for my kids.

The mandated vaccines are for communicable diseases.  If you've ever had a kid in school you know that those classrooms are petrie dishes for colds and viruses and lice and anything you could possibly get thru proximity.

Theres no mandate for the HPV vaccine.  But we are on the verge of seeing it wiped out because common sense parents have flocked to it.

Pretty sure the anti vax rhetoric plays into stephen millers desire to thin out the herd, but you have to be careful to maintain a good crop of burger flippers.

Yeah, we'd be much wiser to listen to the professional liar Dr Fauci, that helped fund COVID, but said it came from a bat - and then cancelled anyone that said differently.

Very few kids get Hep B for the same reason that very few get measles.  The vaccines work.

Hep B is not transmitted in the same way as measles and the reasons why kids might have so little of it are not the same as measles.

”Hepatitis B is transmitted through contact with infected blood, semen, or vaginal fluids, most commonly via unprotected sex, sharing needles, or from an infected mother to her baby during birth.”

Most kids aren't exposed to it.  The vaccine is the icing on the cake.

I dont understand what point youre making. That parents should not get vaccines for their kids?

I fully agree we shouldnt need or have mandates for vaccines.  If  common sense prevailed.  Unfortunately we have a government actively trying to get parents to NOT vaccinate - which is the only reason I would think of supporting a mandate because there are swaths of people too stupid to listen to their doctors and will take medical advice from a heroin addict with a brain worm just to own the libs.

As Greg suggests, stupid people need to be forced to do things if their stupidity is harming innocent people.  We all wish it wasnt necessary.

Why would you think that’s the point I’m making?

I’m saying comparing a range of illnesses and acting like vaccines are equally necessary is silly.

I mention Hep B because it’s a vaccine most kids don’t need right after birth.

Excess mortality rates over the 2020-2022 covid period, then presented per 100,000 so as to normalise between different population sizes is seen as one of the most accurate ways to compare between countries/states. Sweden was estimated to be around 115 per 100k, California and Norway, both of which instituted harsh lockdowns had equivalent or worse numbers over similar periods. In fact sweden had one of the lowest excess death rates in europe even though it was the country with the most open level of movement during the pandemic.

I've no interest in opening up the covid can of worms though so let's move on rather than us getting into some back and forth quoting various studies like how people used to operate back in covid days.

I thought that was the point you were making because getting into the granularity of vaccine A vs vaccine B was besides the point.  If everyone acted with common sense and followed real medical advice the list would be up to medical experts.

Unfortunately common sense on vaccines has become a political issue instead of a medical issue.

Hence the pardon of CZ from Binance infamy last week....who by volume and value was probably the most successful money launderer or certainly knowing enabler of money laundering of all time via Binance International....and money laundering is being kind.....if anybody ever cared to look at the Federal FinCen Binance documents (i did) you'd see that CZ sat on top of organization that through willful ignorance of basic AML facilitated transactions involving terrorist organizations, ransomware, child sexual exploitation material, frauds, and various scams.

Trump's pardons are for sale or recklessly stupid or both.....because CZ is not a candidate for pardon yet here we are! Disgusting really - no coincidence I suppose that a few short months ago Binance agreed to have equity investment from the Middle East in it funded via Trump's USD1 stablecoin.....$400m I believe it was effectively put on deposit into Donald Trump Bank (USD1)....what a coincidence!

”So if someone has a serious transmittable disease like Ebola or Aids do you believe they have the right to do nothing to prevent spreading it to others?”

I’m saying comparing all the vaccines on the vaccine schedule to AIDS or Ebola is not helpful.

That attitude is part of the reason why there is a fight about vaccines at all.

It’s like you MUST take all these vaccines I tell you are else.

I did not say that.

My whole point is that almost nobody had issues with childhood vaccines until Kennedy got involved.  The issue of mandated vs by choice was almost moot because everyone followed the science and the only ones not wanting to vaccinate were so few and far between it didnt really matter much. Now politics has upended science and  its innocent children who will suffer from it.

Then why bring it up?  Just

speak to what we have.

I agree Kennedy is a loon.

All I did was point out that we in the UK don’t have a mandate and we have a higher rate of uptake than Florida which does.

And just because you don’t believe in mandates for all vaccines, it doesn’t mean you suddenly endorse Kennedy’s views.
