I'm not defending her. If she has committed a crime then she deserves what she gets. But she has not been charged with a crime. And as far as I know, America is still innocent until proven guilty.  You are presuming her guilt.based on nothing more than Trump saying it.  Thats a cult.

The charges were not thrown out. The penalty was thrown out as excessive. He is still guilty.

For the last decade or so both parties have been essentially pushing out anyone willing to work across the aisle. Both parties trying to seize more power while they’re in office while skirting congressional action. 
 

And when it does come to congressional action, both parties have been catering to their core rather than addressing issues held by the voters.

The Trump case was never about the law - it was about a DA running for office that targeted someone running for office - all co-ordinated with law fare - to prevent them from running for office. Twist and rewrite the law to get the man in NYC.  Unfortunately, now dumbass Letitia James is in big trouble.

 

The Appelate court said: this is a violation of the constitution. No fraud. The government purposely targeted one politician by someone that ran on the platform of "convicting" Trump with no probable cause. 300 pages. $500M fine in order to bankrupt a politician she did not like. She has on camera interviews befoe she was elected to "get Trump", "put him away".  What a fucking idiot she is - she sunk herself - it's all in the record - selective targeting of an American citizen in order to get elected. Appelate court said can't target your political enemies with a death sentence of bankruptcies for their companies and families.

Point is even if the Dems put up a super progressive rather than a centrist, I can't think of any Republican who that would be a layup for. Gavin Newsome for example would destroy JD Vance in a debate. Hell, a pair of shoes would probably do the same

No charges were dropped. There was no 'not guilty' verdict.

 

Trump was found guilty of fraud and still is. Period. He will continue to be so unless and until that judgment is overturned on an appeal.

 

What the man did was to lie and exaggerate the value of his holdings. In turn this allowed him to fraudulently get a better interest rate on his loans. In turn that illegitimately saved him a substantial amount of money and cost his lenders. That is a fraud on his creditors.

 

He is still a convicted fraudster.

 

The only change at this point is that - and on a split decision - the court felt that the fine was excessive and reduced it to zero. However, I believe that this decision is being appealed so he could still face a substantial fine.

Bill Pulte, the Director of FHFA, says she specificed 2 homes as her primary residence, within 2 weeks of each other. He should know - since he has records of all the mortgages.

 

It's good to have oversight over Fed governors that jepordize the integrity of the Federal Reserve - don't you think?  Why should anyone take a mortgage application seriously, when the Fed governor doesn't!!

B) The reduction in the fine awarded is under appeal.

Truth is why are either of you defending either of them?  If she is guilty...prosecute her and dish out her judgement.  Trump was found guilty...he should pay the price too.

Cubs you are wrong here.  Trump's conviction was not squashed...only the excessive fine.  He's still a convicted fraudster. 

 

The prosecution can still appeal the decision to rescind the excessive fine as well.  Whether they do or don't, I have no idea.  But the conviction was definitely not overturned...only the excessive fine.
