Imagined being so consumed(TDS) with some arbitrary personal victory over some politician that you spend all this time disputing the use of a single adjective! And yes, now we re getting the game. CNN quoting NYT, probably MSBNC too at some point; how original? What’s next an impeachment call?

Where have we seen that before? Seems like just yesterday you guys had them pollsters telling you sweet daily “we got hims” and that Bob Mullers Russia report was going to be the nail in the coffin! God bless

Derangement= spending all this time disputing an adjective, also previously seen as calling a negotiation “lying”.

Looking forward to what humor tomorrow brings. Perhaps Trump will mention oil prices have “plummeted” and you guys will spend days quoting NY Times and the Economist about how the current decline only counts as a technical “pullback” and thus he s lying through his teeth again lol

I also love the sleight of hand. Seems like just yesterday(it was) where we were chomping at the bit to “get him” over the false ceasefire….egg on the face and of course now we revert back to last weekends war on adjectives…

Arguing with righties anymore is like trying to convince someone that the sky isn't red.

When you tell them to simply look up, they get mad at you and then say it's a hologram.

The hardcore lefties aren't any better.  Time and energy would be better spent finding common ground.  Cheers!

He can certainly be doing both...lying and negotiating.

Blake can't see the forest for the trees, and Cubs is like a father with a kid with a meth problem, but ignores the loose teeth and stealing...he's a good boy!

Find common ground...that's the only way this works long-term.  Cheers!

adjective

I guess you could call it a 'adjective disputing'.....but back in the real world its called lying and bullshitting.....if you say you're going to destroy Iran's nuclear enrichment facilities, green light a bombing mission to do so and then address the nation from the White House afterwards and tell them that the "strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated."......and it turns out they weren't well I dunno I'd say you were bullshitting at best, lying at worst.

Donald Trump, White House, Saturday June 21 - https://apnews.com/article/trump-iran-speech-transcript-text-ff4b286992309ec1337e04260247bb1e

I mean when he dropped that speech on Saturday it was (a) unknowable at the time what the damage was done & (b) that statement in time has turned to be completely inaccurate assessment of what was achieved..........and somehow its TDS to call the President of the United States out for bullshit?

The latitude you give this guy is the true derangement..I support much of his agenda, for all his faults......but if Jorge at Saint Joe stood up at the AGM and said he'd "completely and totally sold 200 acres of woodland for $50m" which later turned out to be complete freewheeling bullshit and a lie.....you'd be the first to slate him and call for his resignation.....Trump does it........and it's folks with TDS disputing adjectives. You know words matter Greg, he's the CEO of United States....and he's addressing the nation after bombing another country....and he's up there BS'ing and now  he's got caught out BS'ing and he's now doubling down on the BS via Hegseth and Witcoff mouthpieces.

100%. US wanted to negotiate with Iran re nukes. Israel saw an opening to attack. Trump said 2 weeks to negotiate and dropped bombs two days later. Shortly thereafter a ceasefire. Don’t really give a shit about the adjectives or conspiracy theories and somehow without the golden standard of journalism, The NY Times, I was able to locate the relevant facts. Imagine that?

Are you saying the US armed forces will go back in again (2 or 3 more times)?  Despite there being a ceasefire.

Not sure what part of my post was not understandable (?)

Right.  Both sides are equally as bad.  But the leftists tend to be more vocal and less accurate IMO.

Yeah, it must be hard living every day just to say "gotcha".  Who the hell cares?

But if you're in the U.S. even leftists have to admit that certain things are improving.  I'm in Europe now and the reporting here is as bad or worse than in the US - they're all out to "get" Trump.

It’s both stunning, and amusing. I’ve frankly never seen something so simple cause such a widespread cognitive collapse over stuff that really is not all that hard to see accurately.

Trying to put myself in their obsessed and deranged shoes; we’ll say we get some lib running for office who says their plan is to “tax us to death”….

My reaction(such as when Biden had these plans) would be to assume taxes were likely to go up. Go up somewhat, but not a foundation shattering amount. Nor would I actually believe that this guy was, word for word, actually going to try to kill me lol…I’d also have in my potential scenario bucket, based on experience, that nothing would happen, because often politicians just say shit, and often, even if they wish to do something, they don’t have the ability to do it on their own. This is generally how I approach political situations, whether I agree with them, or not.

These loonie fuckers? First they’d claim this theoretical politician is Hitler because he’s outright “threatening to kill people via taxation” and demand everyone be outraged. Then they would make up even more extreme shit about how if he’s threatening to kill people like that, well he’s obviously only just getting started and willing to cross other lines too. Then when only modest tax increases occurred, or nothing happened, they’d go “ah, he’s so stupid and couldn’t even get the basics done; he “chickened out”. And then some others would even go “ah hah! He’s a fuckin pathological liar because he never killed anybody!!!”….

Its an interesting disease for sure.

And entirely counterproductive.  So many things to go "all in" on or to be right about.  Trump and politics ain't even close.

I hope you enjoy your stay, where ever you may be in Europe, @73 Reds😀

Forget the reporting here, it's mostly as dumb and biased as on the other side of the Atlantic pond. To do some really IRL acid testing, try to wear MAGA cap and T-shirt where you are❗💡😎😛😅

John I'm about as MAGA as I am TDS.  Personalities rarely are of interest; only facts and results.  I spend a fair amount of time in the UK and it's always the same.

@73 Reds,

And meanwhile, POTUS' sayings and doings are major drivers of and influencers on prices short term prices offered to us.

Genocides isn’t a binary thing with an off on switch. There are shades of grey here and I think Israel operates more and more in shadowing areas of this realm.

On Iran, we are at war with in Iran now. There is no telling where this is going to lead and it will take years to find out the result and consequences of this. Iran as the enemy has a say in the outcome.

We don’t even know the result of the bombing for sure and from what i have seen in the past, military assessments will always tend to lead escalating involvement.

Indeed. Maybe that should be what we should be discussing here.

@Spekulatius,

Yes, That is what connects sentiments about POTUS' sayings and doings to facts and realities. I've now added 'short term' to 'prices' in my post above, btw.

For sure - I'd put it like this.......its very hard for us to know the current exact status of the Iranian nuclear capability if the Iranian's probably don't even know yet.

Israel does what it needs to survive.  Tell me with a straight face what you would do when your neighbors' sole reason for existence is to exterminate you and your family.  There is no grey here.

Indeed any Iranian public assessment meets the same level of credibility as Donald's assessment a couple of hours after the B-2's dropped the bomb.....which is to say complete and utter bullshit.

Nice. So basically unless it’s a statement conforming to our pre existing narratives, it’s utter bullshit and must be ignored!

It's so funny, -POTUS right now simply highjacking the NATO conclusion press conference, pretty much not talking about NATO stuff, simply just acting as if he is talking from the White House! 😅 -Me, ME, ME!
