The 80’s soundtrack was worth it alone. Brought back some great musical memories. Will be watching this one again Boy Swallows Universe is really good. The first time I only watched the first episode but gave up after 10 minutes. I'm glad I gave it a second chance.
Xerxes Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I watched Dune 2 again. This time on IMAX. The theatre was packed. And i am sure they are mostly second or third viewings. speaking of which, this is funny. 1
Spekulatius Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Gilded age is pretty good. We did a trip Westchester county last weekend and had a tour at Lyndhurst castle (highly recommend ) and they mentioned that part of the show was filmed there. We did recognize some rooms from Lyndhurst in S1 E5. Great show, which had a similar feel than Downton Abbey. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4406178/

Xerxes Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I recently re-watched House of Dragons S1, before S2 is released in June. I highly recommend people to re-watch. It has great re-watch qualities and a lot nuances that needs reminding before S2 kicks off. Cannot wait for the Greens and Otto Hightowers to fall. They are nothing but usurpers.

Xerxes Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Fallout is one of the best TV I have seen in a while. It got everything !!
Parsad Posted April 30 Posted April 30 On the weekend, I watched Dumas' Three Musketeers...two parts: D'Artagnan Milady Terrific actors, great story, writing and action. Very well done and thoroughly enjoyed them! Cheers!
Saluki Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Season 5 of Fargo is great. It's reimagining of the original Fargo Movie, where the characters have different personalities. Sort of like the alternate universes in The Man in the High Castle. Fargo Seasons 1 and 2 were great. Season 3 was passable, and Season 4 was so bad that I couldn't finish it, but they are back on track with the new one.

I think HOD was far better than GOT. I too am looking forward to Season 2.
Xerxes Posted May 5 Posted May 5 This is really good. M’lord Boromir is now M’lord Cromwell, the King’ Hand to Henry VIII This is a great mystery, thriller.
Xerxes Posted May 7 Posted May 7 “Spies of Warsaw” on Prime is an okay show. Covers the few years leading right up to Molotov-Ribbentrop pact and the invasion of Poland. Sadly much like BBC tv shows, all nationalities speak English for our sake. Except Germans who speak Germans.
Saluki Posted May 7 Posted May 7 It's a silly show but by better half and I are watching "Girls 5 Eva" and it's funny and light.
nwoodman Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Whiplash, for the first time. While watching the kids have both commented how good it is. Damn, I must have been asleep in 2014/2015 or whenever it started streaming on Netflix. It easily goes into my top 20 movies of all time. Jazz is life. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/whiplash_2014
Xerxes Posted May 17 Posted May 17 @Spekulatius i know you are a big LOTR fan ———— HBO has been exemplary in their content pipeline. See below for Dune Who the hell needs garbage content from Netflix when you have premium content being created by HBO and Walt Disney.
Saluki Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I don't okay video games, but I'm enjoying the Fallout series in Amazon prime.
Luke Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I rewatched this clip recently: Lost was such a great series...one of the best.

Amazing plots every season. Shetland is great. I have only seen the first 6 seasons. So it has held up without Douglas Henshall?
Spekulatius Posted May 18 Posted May 18 (edited) Of the new streaming series, I agree Sugar on Apple TV has been good (Apple continues to deliver high quality content). I also think that Fallout on Amazon Prime was fantastic. The film noir series “Ripley” on Netflix is pretty well made (only watched 3 episodes so far). Edited May 18 by Spekulatius
