Here is what I phrased earlier today in this topic, unsubmitted, and as a draft :

By now, I regret what I posted in this topic, about 17 hours ago.

We need to get along here on CofB&F.

Seems like twitter is almost back to being valued at it's original $44b purchase price, obviously he overpaid a lot at the time, but will be fun to see the heads explode when it gets to $100b. The man just continues to win no matter what people think of his personality or politics. Sure he is putting some people off and probably losing some customers for Tesla, but on the flip side he's probably attracting another group of people who traditionally wouldn't have bought Teslas.

Idk there’s two people I’m aware of, whom have this magic power to make some folks just go absolutely mental at the first whiff of a mouse fart sized piece of potentially negative press. I’ve never really seen this sort of stuff in my life, with the exception of those two people. Pure hysteria.

Then we step back from the derangement and it’s like “oh his ex has something negative to say, a history of being attention seeking, and also a history of bad mouthing him”…and folks act like their shit wouldn’t stink too. Or that there couldn’t be more at play here than one quick Twitter snippet.

Yes it's a bit strange alright, I don't recall much discussion or judgement about the personal lives of all the other CEO's discussed on this Investment forum. I'm sure Buffett, Munger, Bezos, etc all have various stories or rumours about them but I don't see how that warrants any discussion or relevance to the merits of their companies as potential stock investments.

All *BS*, basically.

By which principles do you raise your own three kiddoes? Are your kiddoes allowed by you to telling you lies, and all is just good?

Think for yourself. Investigate people’s incentives. Don’t underestimate their emotions.

Rest of it is easy. Maybe I could add in one more, don’t get all personally invested in the tabloid mill…

Car salesman insults in public about every potential non-US customer, callling the customers 'stupid'. Naturally, this is  going to work out great.

I assure you : Not!

Thankfully we have a very easy way to check how it will work out as tesla report deliveries every month. I think the current forecast is for 2m vehicle deliveries in 2025 so let's check back at end of year to see how well or badly things worked out.

Shades, gold chain, black trench coat, glassy bloodshot ketamine eyes, baby mama can't get in touch with him for days - speaking at the CONSERVATIVE! Political Action Conference.

Very conservative indeed- this might be one of the finest political comedies ever written....if it weren't reality.

All I'll say is I can't wait for the documentaries on all this & god bless whoever has to tidy up the mess being created right now.

"The mess"?  What would you call $36 trillion (and rising) of debt?  And how would you propose to clean it up?  I'm pretty open-minded and haven't heard anything close to plausible from critics.

Pretty funny actually that no one gives the man credit for the ungodly corruption, payoffs, and waste he is uncovering. That is what will be EPIC.

America loves what he is doing - and the losers on the left will do ANYTHING to stop him.

Good luck with that.

Again no need to call folks names or assume everyone loves what he's doing. You love it, great, say it proudly but generalizing doesn't get us anywhere...let's stick to verifiable facts....

The mother of his child is on twitter complaining....if the motivation isn't genuine than fine, but it doesn't take away from her voicing the issue...

It's a simple point really. When no one is listening - then they have to resort to smears.

It's all they have anymore - since they have nothing of substance.

What the man is doing for the America is amazing and appreciated. Something government has promised for decades - but have never done - cut waste and corruption.

Massive tax cut for the wealthy and businesses. Kick the can down the road until it is someone else's problem.

For those of us paying over 40% on every marginal dollar we make (over 50% when you include CA taxes), let us know when it's enough.

The deficit is not because the rich don't pay enough.
