Honestly, I was just trying to loosen up the the tone, the sentiment in this topic a bit. I personally think the tone here is ... ehh ... dense [<-?] at times. Best if we stay friends, all. If not possible, politeness combined with perhaps even cordiality does not cost the sender anything, if it is sincere. - - - o 0 o - - - That said, I'm not too good either at times. Hereby my apology for being condecending and patronizing towards Greg [ @Gregmal ]. - - - o 0 o - - - However I have an excuse, at least I think! - Here goes : I was hit by temporary PTSD. It was up to Valentines Day, and I had an idea for making our daily surroudings in our home more plesant for us : Living Flowers The reaction I got from The Lady of the House caused me to panick, going into shock, grenade shock, develop temporary PTSD : 'What? !- What did she mean by that?! - What does that imply?! - Ohh noo, now you've screwed up again, John! - Why diden't I just buy those damn flowers in stead of asking for her preferences!?' The human brain has a brilliant feature!: If you experience something really traumatic, it supresses the experience, to help you move on from it. But that's also what in certain cases triggers PTSD if not treated properly, because the experience is still stored in your memory. So, I'm not totally sure, but I think she said : 'My vagina is not a vase.'

Blake [ @Blake Hampton ] & Jeff [ @DooDiligence ], I really hope it helped, did good to vent! - Good morning from Denmark! - At least you don't have have a PM rooting for a wealth tax! -I mean life could be much worse!

@Dalal.Holdings, When did that happen in Germany? And because of why? And why do you eternallly continue this line of posting? When can we get back to looking at investing in Europe - forwardlooking - from where Europe is by now, as an alternative to elsewhere? Do you suffer from some kind of PTSD over a loss on a European based company, you can't get over? Just stirring the pot? [You have been dubbed 'troll' in a separate topic in the Investment Ideas forum.]

@LC, Great humor! - Thank you for sharing! [In seriousness : What you vote for is what you get. ]

Today, I reinvested dividends, received today, from SPKSJF.CPH [SJF Bank A/S, a Danish regional bank] into the bank [at DKK 327.50]. [CofB&F topic].

Times of Israel [by Reuters] [March 10th 2026] : Kremlin says Putin’s proposals to mediate Iran war are still on the table - - - o 0 o - - - Vladimir - the mediator! - LOLz! [Perhaps this should have been posted in the Jokes topic in stead.]
-
Thanks, SD [ @SharperDingaan ].

I think @Dalal.Holdings' above post must be roughly right, isen't it? - I'm certainly not a oilbug. There are so many moving parts in this. What about products derived from refining oil? What will happen in that space, if The Strait of Hormuz will stay closed for a longer period?
-
I don't know if this is true, but how [on Earth] do one obtain that without boots on the ground or destroying the Kharg oil installations? [I see Brent at 107.78, WTI at 102.91 right now.]
-
Releated to this, I earlier today found this on Reuters : Reuters - Graphics [March 7th 2026] : Maps and charts of the Iran crisis I think this peace is very good. The overall view of what's going from some fundamental security view about the prospects of the risk a rough state perhaps getting nuclear war cababilities may appear pretty simple. But when one dives in to the details of it, one finds out now, about approimately 10 days into the campain and the whole operation, there is already an almost unbelieveable amount of moving parts. [Cautionary note : It's really dense, stuffed with a lot of detailed information.]

https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/116189925042301817 Furthermore, 'The United Kingdom, our once Great Ally ...', yet another insult of a a US ally. This man simply can't stab a stick in a turd without destroying both.

It's gradually getting more and more out of hand. No plan, no goal, no real plan, in the publicly communicated narrative now changed 5 - five! - times.

This topic is killing me! - Years ago, we were baby sitting the biologic grand daugther of The Lady of the House for a weekend. Suddenly she asked : 'John, can I lend your iPad Mini? -I have forgotten to get my own iPad with me from home ...'. Me : 'Sure, Celina - Here you go!' -All about being about a nice 'uncle', you know! Monday arrived, and she had been picked up by her Mom again as agreed, and I needed to fire up the iPad Mini again for something, and I simply got a shock, almost hit by PTSD, by the experience, thinking: 'wtf has happened here!?' - Basically iPad Mini setup changed, to me, beyond recognition! Tons of her usual favorite apps installed, some of my own apps dumped! It took me more than a week to get back to 'my set up' - Tiny terminator creating chaos!' At least markets were closed, so she wasen't able to trade anyting! -
*sigh*!, @whiskybravo, The whole mess is just so friggin' frustrating to think about, to a degree that seems to have no end. *shaking head* I really think I need a vacation. I have no money. So it has to be a cheap vacation solution. I have been thinking about Chernobyl as destination. I have read somewhere that there are lots of free rooms, and it should be good for our pale skin colour upon the Northern European winther. I just vented the idea for the Lady of House after she has arrived home from shopping. First time in a month I have heard her laughter.

I still remember the 13th March 2013 - clearly! Best day in my life ever!, -and not only in my own life - also to my family and those I hold dear! -Found CofB&F on that day! - Browsing around for about one hour here, then decided to dive in, registering! If I remember correctly, then CAD 30! Frigging best investment I've ever made! - But it is what it is! it's - old fashion WYGIWYG! I spent about three - three! - years reading up the whole friggin' CoiB&F board! - about 100 posts in that period from me, most of them carrying no real value. - - - o 0 o - - - Then, when I near Christmas try to express my appreciation towards Sanjeev [ @Parsad ] for keeping us all connected here, by sending absolutely nomimal amounts of money as a token of appreciation <still stingy John and all that> from both of us [The Lady of the House and I] to Sanjeev [ @Parsad ], I get met by a friendly refusal, not taking the money, to keep running the CofB&F digital outfit, donating, redirecting the nominal funds provided to Canadian food banks in stead! Fair to say, I don't even have a Danish friend, that behaves like this! Tons of stamina, perseverance, patience with us, combined with beeing a down-to-the-roots good, non-self-serverving person! Just so friggin' seldom to me. That said, I think I have by now figured out by now how to circumvent the 'blockade' - next time! - Here, we're now out in mob-related measures, desparate measures, desparate means! [somewhat inverted!] -

LOLz! Been there, done that! I had a client for few years, likely then the richest man on the Danish island Funen then, if you even would consider him Danish. He was a Danish expat, tax resident at Gibraltar [no tax], large double merged penhouse with a view to the Gibraltar harbour and the Gibraltar Strait, a Wine Chateau in France [, where he almost never was, mind you], two large farms in Virginia, 1000's of cattle on the farms, one of them with a landing strip for his personal jet, and three homes here in Denmark. The only client I've ever adressed 'Mister <something>' talking with him, never adressing him by his first name. Simply because he liked it so, old fashion. No harm done to me by that. He simply wore me out, I was running totally cold on him, gradually, over time, he taking most of my time to serve him. One night I woke up by my personal fax machine starting ticking, being noisy. Checked it. Fax from Mr. <someone>. Very displeased, not amused at all. Halfway theathening. From one of the farms in Virginia. He had been personally hit by large [several 100 K DKK] on guarantee fees related to a personal guarantee he had issued, covered via a predecessor to Nordea in Luxemburg to guarantee his negative cash flowing commercial real estate refinancing here in Denmark. And our personal agreement was that I should never engage in his financing stuff. I got so stinking furious, that I, right away, transmitted him by fax a two-liner cancellation of the client relationship with immediate effect, caused by his gross misconduct. - - - o 0 o - - - Fax machines are old age, out of favour. But they were awesome, to get some things done! -

This is hilarious, @Marco Van Basten!, It actually also reminds me that I live together with a very cost conscious woman, which I'm not married to. Then I get annoyed, stressing we're not married, when she is blaming me for having the black belt in book hoarding [<- ], expressing I'm in need of treatment for it! - Very insulting, I think! -
And then we have these two successful companies - one American, one Danish - making tons of money by producing meds - pills and sub-kutan injections, instead of countries, nations providing a healthy culture and lifestyle including exercise. It's sick, it's decadent. Almost as sick as investing in the two large French companies and the large Swiss company, that are all set to sea to put a tax on vanity of the rich, the super-rich and the filthy-rich! I think the common denominator could be called putting taxes on bad habits and behavior. Western culture at its finest! But when it's dividend payment day, I'm almost getting high on my investment banks app sending me boatloads of pop-up notifications and *ding*s! -For cash ticking in! - *ding-ding*, *ding-ding*

Date yourself without dating yourself - How many?

Always been, still is! I once had a female colleague that said to me, that there is absolutely nothing as awesome as a bit of sexual harrasment, because the value of it isen't taxed here in Denmark! Tax free personal fringe! At a certain point in time, I had to follow up on her work and management, seriously, asking closed, narrow questions about progress. She went totally ballistic!, theatening to throuw me down the stairs! Her weight estimated half of mine! Hardcore Statoil / Equinor oil bug. After a couple of days I finally realized it would never work out with anything, or among us, because she posessed material information, that I really needed access to. Frustrated, deeply, thinking about it seriously what to do, I, a few days later, opted to buy two Ritter Sport chokolate packages for her, with an apology for beeing an a**hole. All good again! If I remember correctly, I even tried to introduce her for a fellow CofB&F member! No take, but I still speculate it would have been great, if the mutual interest was there. It wasen't. <John, the failed matchmaker>. -

This topic is unbelieveable funny to me! @LC, Sure you remembered the 'reverse page up' rule while faxing? - - - o 0 o - - - I remember once many years ago I said to my secretary 'Please send the xxxx year business financials draft to client Anders, for his comments and approval!, to me' Early morning, I had been working intensely on it most of the night. Next thing, immedialy happening, client Anders calling me why [the hell] I'm sending him 28 pages pages of blank, white paper! Me : 'Huh? - What do you mean?!' - She was 11 years junior to me [then and still], never seen or handled a telefax mahcine before! Who was to blame : Me! Always be guiding before setting expectations! I remember a few [all maleI] clients calling me, asking me, directly on my mobile :'Who is that woman answering your phone now? - I want to meet her!' Naturally, my reply every time was 'What can we agree on, on the extra surcharge?', adding 'You have heard her voice on phone, melting you, her boobs and cleavage, legs etc. within working hours are mine! Btw., outside working hours , she is 'taken', 'occupied, too !, please don't test me by calling around me to her!" Client, every time : 'OK, John. ... *sigh* - Let's not complicate this further.' -

- LOLz! - I just hate getting reminded that I'm not just getting old, but I am old! It's simply not fair! Furthermore, I protest fiercely, intense against this twenty bullets list. That complaint, objection will go to Sanjeev [ @Parsad ]! [<- j/k] To me, the list for sure should be expanded, at least by two bullet points! 1. A Telex machine, & 2. My first 'mobile phone' [well, portable, if you don't have any problems with your back ] [absolutely awesome, genious piece of engineering work] . Absolutely nothing like having a todler seatbelted on the back seat in the car, saying while driving in my Toyta Corolla 'Dad, I want to speak with Mom, - please call her and hand over the phone to me, please' <I suppose, Bernard Arnault-like>. The only 'catch' with this thingy was, that was that if I forgot to disconnect it with the car when car parked, it drained the battery of the car - fast , so the car coulden't start! I remember a couple of times being totally stuck in the midle of [dark] Jutland, grumpy, very grumpy, because the damn thing had not only drained the car for power, it had also ran out of power itself anyway, so no possibity to call for assistance somewhere! - Which was the whole idea of buying the damn thing in the first place! And that thingy actually lifted me for, by then, a quarter of my monthy salary before taxes. Still an awesome phone, if you ask me! -
Yeah, We're totally screwed, holding on to our glasses, Mertz style. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk is making lots of money every day on delivering lifestyle related drugs to lazy, obese, burger, processed food, junk eating, americans. And Equinor ASA is very busy pumping up gas to send it southbound in Europe, to those who really screwed up earlier. Life is great. - - - o 0 o - - - That said, my PM Mette Frederiksen has called for a Parliamentary Election, and she has proposed a new Danish wealth tax. I'm just shaking my head and thinking it's political suicide. - - - o 0 o - - - Then I look at my digital pension payslip [,which pension I don't need] : DKK 30 in withheld income taxes. That may suffice. No need to go overboard with societal attitude. Next time I'll order our handyman to fix something around the house, withheld taxes are likely going to zero. - - - o 0 o - - - Life is great, and Europe is investable. But how great life is, is naturally a function of your behavior so far, also called where you are now.
