The determination to release is at the discretion of the AG (who is Trumps puppet). Trump campaigned on the promise to release the files and now is doing everything in his power to prevent it. Wonder why....

Perhaps they could release stuff related to Trump without sharing everything about other people involved.  But it’s gotta be tricky.  They would have to make sure they don’t accidentally reveal stuff that could hurt someone else or mess up other cases.  It’s not just about what’s in the files, but also about being fair and following legal rules.

Being fair and following legal rules is not Trumps strong suit. If he wanted to release the files they could be released tomorrow. Why does Johnson keep blocking votes to release the info?

@Luke and many others, you are missing the elephant in the room.  People don't vote for Trump the man, they vote against the ideas and solutions that are offered by Democrats!

According to the article in the NY Post today, 80% of high school seniors cannot meet proficiency standards in reading/writing, and 81% cannot meet them in math.  I don't give a damn if Trump slept with 500 women, our society is collapsing, and all Democrats offer is more spending, more illegal immigration, more rules, regulations, discrimination, war on biology and family, and more solutions that have failed time and again.  Until Democrats stop offering failed solutions and pretending that if I feel that I am a woman, then I am a woman, they will continue to be in political wilderness, no matter how flawed the Republican candidate is.

…..and we’ll find that out for sure in 3.25yrs time who that was….what I do know is this Presidency is going to have binary outcome….his radicalism will prove inspired or totally and utterly idiotic….in the latter scenario an empty suit like Harris with her technocratic but fundamentally competent Harvard and Yale alum puppet masters preaching orthodoxy would have turned out to be an inspired choice. Uh, no.  What is it about Jean Carroll, $83 million and a lot of greedy, hungry lawyers that you don't understand?  Hell, someone can probably make up a story and have no trouble finding a lawyer to take her case.

He was found guilty by a jury. The verdict has been upheld in every single appeal.  But instead of just going saying "yup hes a scumbag" youre convinced he has been railroaded.  You're in a cult.

Not to quibble but liable, not guilty. There’s a huge difference as one requires a unanimous verdict with proof beyond a reasonable doubt and the other requires a preponderance of evidence and does not require a unanimous verdict.

Fair enough. Found liable by a jury of 9 people. Upheld under numerous appeals.   Not railroaded.  Not chased by an ambitious prosecutor.  Liable by a jury of his peers.

They used to march in my neighborhood.  You bring back fond memories of my days picking juries way back when.  One or two questions and then an easy strike for cause.  Impartiality is hard to fake.

I agree it’s been upheld on numerous appeals so far and will see if that continues. I’d also think there’s a very ambitious prosecutor, since they stand to make ~$30 million in fees if the award stands. There’s a reason that lawyers try to shop venue. I’m not discounting your point though, Trump should have had good enough lawyers to challenge any jury misconduct. 
 

I never found the allegations very persuasive here, not because I doubt trump is/was a creep, but because sexual assault at a department store seems far fetched especially for a billionaire that has had no problem getting laid as soon as the lawyers sign off on the NDA. I think it was pretty much a he says she says situation as well, which are always more dubious in my mind. 
 

Just to be crystal clear, I think Donald trump is an unsavory character, and I personally think he was the lesser of two evils for policy reasons. I wish there was an alternative, other than the progressive left. I also don’t think he’s a rapist or a pedo. More like a John with lawyers to cover his ass. I’m not a huge fan of Kamala Harris the person, but if it weren’t for policy concerns I’d take her hands down over Donald trump. On the other hand, I probably wouldn’t care about politics at all if it weren’t for policy concerns.
