Well that's largely because as Buffett says "when youre in a hole the first thing you do is stop digging".  It doesnt matter how pretty the other roads are when youre just trying to stop the car from driving into a wall. 

 

I'd note that for the recent election in Hungary, the platform for Magyar was entirely one of "we need to get this wannabe dictator out of power now, before our democracy gets destroyed".  And he dominated.  Sort of the same reaction going on here.  Talking about education reform seems ridiculous when Trump is determined to undermine the constitution at every turn.

This is how you know it's a cult. 

 

What Trump promised:

- lower grocery prices

- lower gas prices

- fiscal responsibility and lower spending 

- no new wars

- release the epstein files

- end the war in Ukraine immediately 

 

And he's done the exact opposite of all of these.  Yet the response is "that's what I voted for".   Thats a cult.

Honesty and stability now are far better than the prior administration which operated in secrets and deceit that are finally being uncovered.  Friends and allies support each other and are not a drag on one another.  They share burdens; the burdens do not largely fall on only one of us.

I dont think Kamala promised any of those things. The whole reason Trump got elected was because he DID promise them.  And them delivered the exact opposite while his supporters clap and go "wonderful Dear Leader".

Yep, this is the list. The main issue MAGA seems to miss is that even if you get what you want in the short term, you'll lose long term if in doing so you lose the bedrock principles.

Iran has supposedly agreed not to have nuclear weapons and to give up the enriched material — this was all agreed prior to the war for nothing just to maintain peace. 

Let’s see what Iran gets in return and we can determine how much US / Israel loses. My bet all sanctions are removed, they own the SoH and 50/50% chance US exits all their bases in the GCC region. (As I constantly repeat, Israel better learn to play nice with their neighbours going forward) 

 

Trump and all his clowns will think this is due to their “blockade”. lol - even though Chinese ships continue to pass.

I do think we will essentially create intelligence that will replace us. If you think about it, it’s inevitable. The human brain is fairly limited and at some point, we are going to create something better or something we create will evolve into something better. The future of mankind isn’t man.

Good Lord. "Honesty and stability"? How do you tell when the president is lying? Whenever he opens his mouth.  In the past, if a president was caught in a lie, it was a major event.  Now the president lies daily/hourly. 

 

"Stability"? He has just started a war with no end plan, invaded another country, threatened to invade allies, slapped tariffs against the rest of the world, has masked thugs roaming the cities streets, and No Kings demonstrations involving millions throughout the country, he fights and insults the Supreme Court, Powell, and even the Pope. This is stability?

You have to be kidding!!  Trump and his administration has attacked, threatened, taxed, and insulted nearly every single ally it has. Then US declares a war with apparently no plan, no consultation with its allies and when it gets in over its head it throws a tantrum like a spoiled child when those same countries reminds the US that they wanted nothing to do with his war. And then to bring up the old "WMD" crap, we can't help remember the WMD's that Iraq didn't have, The WMD's that the President assured us were already "obliterated", etc.

Trump got elected because Biden was entering senility and Kamala was not Obama!  Almost anyone else probably would have given the Democrats a fighting chance, but nope...they let Biden go far to long, so that there was no time to do a real search/vote for Democratic leader/presidential candidate.   What did Kamala do during her tenure as Vice-President?  She did less than JD Vance has so far in one year!  Cheers!
