I know youre tongue in cheek on these but what are the odds Karoline Levitt uses that as the excuse.  The cultists would buy it.

Sure, just think it’s fairly crazy, downright bizarre, from the top down, looking at something that should be universally celebrated here in America, and there’s folks, not just Charlie Kirk wannabes on Twitter, but beyond that, all angry cuz the FBI director was in the locker room celebrating.

If you ask me “should the FBI director be at the olympics”(or further, in the locker room) my general, two second thought would probably be that it doesn’t “not” make sense, followed by an indifference to such a thought in the context of everything.

There’s people that just always seem to need to be angry about American success and pride. There’s definitely a big faction of liberals who are on sensory overload there, seeing the American flags(that they think are triggering and racist), a team of almost exclusively young white men(a segment of the population they have openly had disdain for going on decades now), and a brown guy who rejected their ideology and is now “in bed with the enemy”(there’s few groups the liberals have more reserved vitriol for than non whites whom don’t toe the line)…is this picture of American success really that triggering for them? Why couldn’t they just enjoy it?

Who is angry about American success and pride??? That has nothing to do with it.  In fact its the opposite.  I want to see the US hockey team celebrating because they earned it.  What i dont want to see is the head of the FBI flying over in a private jet paid for by taxpayers to try and share the spotlight and actually take it away from those who truly earned it.  Where was he for the figure skaters?  Or bobsledders? Or skiers?

I dunno, some of us prefer to follow people we like.  What you describe seems like the perfect definition of "obsession".

That's me...

...and you.

One is a believer, the other isn't.

Cubs...now THAT's the real obsesser!  He's got us both beat by a long shot!

Well, some just always need something to be unhappy about it seems. Most were talking about how awesome the game and tournament was. Then there were others whom seemed quite perturbed cuz the brown guy was in the locker room. Even though the context was simply that he had POTUS on the phone congratulating the team which was conveniently left out of those infuriating clips.....Of all the things to be bothered by....

Indeed, I do love the patriotic MAGA movement.

It's an easy decision when your alternative is Kamala or JB Pritzker.

I like those 1 foot hurdles.

We can agree on something!  The alternative is not acceptable.

The entire country is Trump obsessed.  None of us are actually anything out of the ordinary.

A quick search reveals how significant a security role the FBI has in the Olympics. What is the big deal here?

Talk about not being self-aware - take a deep breath, guys.

It’s also been customary in many sports, for like decades, that the POTUS has someone from the administration connect with the winners for a congratulatory call. I really just think the collective imagery here was too triggering for them….

Well, success is a good obsession to have.  And it is far preferable to the abject failure many of us witnessed previously.  Small wins are really all we can reasonably hope for from Presidential administrations and this one has provided some and hopefully more to come.  Others can fixate on nuance; I could care less as long as what I voted for gets accomplished.

Wait, so you've gone from tongue in cheek acknowledging how dumb it was to rationalizing why its a good thing?

The entire fact that this is the discussion going on (not just here) shows how much it takes away from the real celebration and talking about those who actually earned it not those clinging on for attention.

You might be lost. I said it’s bizarre, but not surprising, that this is what the usual suspects are choosing to have their daily hissy fit over.

Yes I recall Robert Mueller handing the phone over for Biden at the last winter games.  Ah, good times.

See thats the thing though, most people, myself included, especially those whom watched it live, saw the locker room celebration and didn’t think twice of anything other than “wow this is pretty awesome”…then there’s the degen lib faction that doesn’t need an excuse to wake up in the morning angry about something, and apparently this is what they took from it lol.

Yeah, pretty much everyone has had it with the Michelle Obama and Megan Rapinoe crowd and their "I hate my country" bullshit.

I don't like Kash Patel, but shot gunning a beer with the olympic hockey team after winning gold makes him a bit better in my book. It's like W. Yeah he was a trash president and a war criminal, but the fact he seems like a decent dude to have a beer with (before his sobriety) is a postitive, not a negative.

There's a lot of f*cked up stuff going on in this country, much less the world. We should take a few minutes to celebrate the good things in life. The olympics are a good opportunity to come together as a country. Shame it seems that can't happen this year, especially after such a great moment (beating the Canadians at hockey)

See, thats the thing, most people want to watch the people who actually worked hard and won the gold celebrate what they earned. They dont want some cling on, completely unrelated to the victory, try and glom onto it solely for the attention.  He turned a non political thing into a political thing.  The entire fact that its one of the top stories today instead of just celebrating the victory indicates that.

Well, most people don’t view this as political, and I’m not sure a bunch of whiny liberals or the Charlie Kirk wannabe Spek follows being triggered by this make it political either.

LOL!  And a super high fee college!  The man knows how to destroy cash cows...like he's doing to the U.S.!  Cheers!

I think the underlying frustration regarding the men’s hockey team getting security detail is enlightening.

Liberals generally hate America. They hate sports and they especially despise sports like Winter Olympic ones where there’s less diversity. They’re mad Patel isn’t the typical subservient colored man they bank on. Seeing him have a beer with a successful bunch of white athletes and not a Soy Latte with the SanFran girls volley ball team was just too triggering and they lost it.

People don't hate the U.S...they hate assholes!  Your country is being lead by one of the biggest assholes the world has ever seen...bigger than Farah Abrahams!

They weren't booing the U.S. when Obama was President!  They weren't booing the U.S. when Reagan was President!  Neither were assholes...they were statesmen...had decorum...respect for others...believed that their country was a model for the world...the anti-bully.  Cheers!

Greg [ @Gregmal ],

You're, simply put, out of line here.

Insulting a contributing CofB&F member, by name calling, by now not actively participating in your ongoing exchanges with @dwy000 here.

Why? Just stirring the pot? - That particular board member won't respond to your provocations, so why do you even try?

That CofB&F member has perhaps the widest bandwith related to investing to the West of the Atlantic Ocean, and to the East of it.

A rare property here on CofB&F.

You owe that board member an apology.

Show us your format.

LOL. What are you even talking about John?

I feel like every so often you do one of these random headscratcher "things", like last week blasting someone whom sent their condolences and well wishes to Guy Spier, for no reason at all....are you the board principal?

On the topic at hand...its already been discussed...outside of the usual whiny liberals, and the guy Spek requoted from Twitter, not many even noticed, nor cared one bit in the context of what was occurring during the Olympic gold celebration...to whine about politics....
