Nukes are just guns on steroids!  The whole intent is for both of them to kill and to act as a deterrent.

The days of guns were for protection and hunting are long gone...the Wild West died out a long time ago!  And the majority of gun owners in the U.S. are not hunters.  Cheers!

Nukes today are 100% a deterrent for all but extremist regimes.  Didn't think this required explanation or was subject to debate.

I so hope this makes it to the ballot, and passes. It has to be a positive for JOE

How many billionaires even are there in California?  This looks to apply only to a select few and it would be hard to imagine they will accept this sitting down.  It looks ripe for challenges in so many ways.  I'll take the under.

It’s absolutely hysterical. After crusading against Musk and DOGE earlier in the year, this perfect representation of California then takes up an obsession with child porn, only to re emerge with a brilliant new plan; a wealth tax, and….wait for it….DOGE(just called something different of course!)

But don’t worry, capital isn’t fleeing California we’ve been told. It’s all a hoax!

I believe California has the most Billionaires in the US, and like the fifth most in the world.

I think your point still applies, because there are so many I doubt they’ll accept it sitting down either.

The weather is nice in Cali, but so is the weather elsewhere…

AI suggests there are between 200 and 250.

I just feel eventually you reach a tipping point and the floodgates open. Off the top of my head I'm thinking of Bezos, Griffin, Musk, Chevron all rich people and businesses that have fled blue states. And the blue states continue to behave like idiots. How much can you harass people before they vote with their feet?

The fact that politicians hasn't come out and reject this says a lot about CA. This isn't just about billionaires, think what will happen next time when government needs money if this ever gets on the ballot. It could easily becomes anyone that has assets over X millions gets taxed an extra 5% -- so insane.

I mean I’ve brought it up before but you ask them what they stand for….and you literally can’t get a straight answer. The only thing they seem to stand for is “against Donald Trump”….they wail about Trumps “tax cuts for the wealthy”….but in true stupid liberal fashion…who is REFUSING to honor the “no tax on tips” tax change that universally benefits normal people? The usual suspects…California, Illinois, New York…

Well, only to be outdone by the proposed $5M reparations bill proposed for each San Francisco's black resident who has evidently been subject to more discrimination than any other person in the U.S. who has been discriminated against.  I'd be all for it if it came from the coffers of corrupt politicians like fellow San Fran resident Nancy Peolosi who fittingly may even qualify for the billionaire tax.

Aaaaaand, NJ politicians raising the "gas tax" 9% for 2026......liberal talking point...."gas isnt abnormally expensive in NJ so it's OK".....conventional wisdom, like the gold standard of incompetence in California, gas prices would be much lower if there wasnt such a major component of "government pickpocketing" attached to them.

Hopefully nobody died. But I do not necessarily see that as a bad thing. These politicians are like parasites paralyzing a whole entire nation robbing it of its potential. Economically and politically (and so also socially), Venezuela could easily be somewhere else (in a positive way).

Impressive they could pull that off so "easily".

If Maduro is gone and the regime folds, it will be a very good thing. He deserves a thorough trial, preferably by its own people after they have elections .

I guess it’s back to 1960’s interventionism. It’s a good thing if it works but the tail of intended consequences can be long.

Mamdani is still TBD. as far as I know, he has not thrown anyone in a Gulag yet. I think there also has been a lot of media coverage on him and the election.

It's a good thing...but is it legal?  The U.S. was not at war with Venezuela...no UN initiatives or sanctions against Venezuela...under what directive is this legal and not an act of war?

I'm happy he is gone...but again, the U.S. is doing things that if not crossing the line, it certainly is straddling them!  Cheers!

It's certainly highly concerning! What are the coherent US political principles behind it? - Such does not exist. - Who or what is next? [*staring, gazing up to the North of USA*]
