That's hilarious. The clowns at Brown University really screwed the pooch. $90,000 per year to have the cameras turned off. The only reason they catch the guy is because of the neighbors security cameras.

I think it varies very much by country, but probably the best exaple would be Sweden (especialy Stockholm or Malm), because they basically had zero problems not so long ago with all this and now it is day and night. France and Germany at least were able to get used and deal with it slowly:)

I think this is right.

 

Related to Sweden, especially Malmö, back in 2012, I had good colleague working out of Malmö, when all this started in Malmö [shootings, killings, bombs]. As the good colleague I always strived to be, I made him a suggestion for a new company car, when his compensation package was up for discussion next time - as always ready to give constructive advice and suggestions to colleagues in need of so, - also mentioning for him that it would be important to emphasize for his boss  the marketing value of it for the business, because it would look great with the company logo on it! [  ] :

Yep Europe have at least raised the cost for Russia of continuing the war by putting together this €90b package.....Trump's complete capitulation before getting to the negotiating table is not how wars are actually ended....they are ended when the costs relative to the gains to each side of continuing the war become intolerable (i.e. mutually hurting stalemate).......Trump's simplistic solution was to attempt to collapse the Ukrainian side forgetting they have Europe's support & are in an existential fight for their lives.

 

If he truly wanted the war ended waving the white flag to Russia was not the way to do it....it simply emboldened Putin in his settlement demands ensuring Ukraine couldn't countenance a peace deal on those terms.....the correct strategy, obvious to anyone with half a brain, was to raise the theoretical costs to Russia to continuing the war before setting the table for peace talks such that you minimized Russia's demands such that some thin landing strip could be found.

It's basically The Coalition of the Willing stepping in to set the agenda, which has grown out of EU, dismantling the veto, blocking power af the EU members with a friendly attitude towards Russia, Putins regime.

 

And it was about time something serious got deciced to send a Putin a signal, [also ref. Mikes [ @cubsfans ] comments earlier about the matter], that is not subject for interpretation of Russia, Putin.

 

All those maneuvers by POTUS that he has dupped 'peace negotiations' have been nothing but *BS*, spin, 'the art of the deal *BS*, now he is really occupied of fire fighting an other melt down [the E files], that has got out his control, ref. i.e. Sanjeev [ @Parsad ] above.

It's EU member countries Czechia, Hungary and Slovakia that have opted out of the loan agreement, by the way.
