That episode was not shown in the US. What damages can Trump sue for?

 

The BBC has done a huge mistake here and damaged its reputation but it’s difficult for a Trump to prove damages here since it wasn’t shown in the US, imo.

In the middle of the night I just got hit by a notification from a post on Truth Social by POTUS, in stead of 'Release those [damn] files!', one has to take a deep breath before diving in reading this : [ 😋 ] :

I speculate, the White House doctor, if seeing this, has already rushed to him, checking him out, nervous for his bp, etc. He appears being under a strong pressure here, doesen't he? Loosing the control over and with the narritive?

Bessent does claim that disease caused the meat shortage (also debatable and wrong) because migrants brought some of their cattle with them right there.

The way I understand it is. He is saying the disease was eradicated in North America (Canada, US, Mexico). Migrants from South America that came to Mexico brought the disease back to Mexico. Now US can’t import cattle/beef from Mexico causing prices to rise in the US.

It may be BS to say it was immigrants but he doesn’t need to lie and compound the idiocy either.

A good article on the rise, fall, and rise again of NWS.  Reasons for resurgence in the Darien Gap of Panama related to reduced sterile fly release due to Covid and possibly illegal importation of cattle into Central America carrying NWS.

 

Whatever the case may be, coordinated international cooperation across US, Mexico, and Central America is needed to eradicate it again.

The issue has been raised on several public company earnings calls. It’s not the largest factor influencing higher beef prices, but is certainly one of them.
 

Nevertheless, it didn’t stop “that crowd” from attempting yet another peculiar “got Trump” tantrum….
