Is ICE going to show up at red-city/red-state locations doing the same thing?  I don't think so.  Cheers!

Yes they are.  You don’t hear about it as much because it’s a red state.  But if you Google it you will see it is occurring.

From the L.A. times:

”In the first five months of Trump’s second term, California lagged behind the staunchly red states of Texas and Florida in the total arrests. According to a Los Angeles Times analysis of federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement data from theDeportation Data Project, Texas reported 26,341 arrests — nearly a quarter of all ICE arrests nationally — followed by 12,982 in Florida and 8,460 in California.”

The big ‘sanctuary’ cities which have laws which limit cooperation with ICE are all blue.

I'm talking about elections...not in general.  It's an intimidation practice to scare legal voters from voting because they may be kidnapped and sent to some black site where their family will never hear from them again!  Cheers!

It hasn’t happened in elections but I don’t see why it wouldn’t happen in red states or cities if it ever did.

I also think if you are intimidated by ICE at polling stations you’ve lived a sheltered life.

Bring your ID.  It’s not a big deal to bring ID (it’s a requirement in the UK and many other countries).  It’s insane the world’s largest democracy is so lax around checking who can vote.

Logic means nothing to irrational people.

It would be less likely in red states because the point of it is not to arrest illegals it is to intimidate. Just look at the National Guard theater.  Theres no suggestion of deploying them in red states where crime rates are higher than the areas they are being deployed (despite the lowest crime rates there in years).

None of this is about law enforcement.  Its about theater and intimidation.

And carrying ID is one thing. Proving your citizenship to ICE at a polling station is another.  Who carries their passport with them?

I live in the UK, I have to take ID with me everytime I vote and it’s normally my passport.  Please pretending it’s a big ask.

We dont need to carry our passport anywhere and generally nobody does (in fact less than 50% of Americans even have a passport). We have our DL or other ID usually (but not always).  Taking your passport, not to vote but because ICE is hanging around polling stations, is just plain intimidation.

If you have to actively try and make it harder for the general population to vote in order to win maybe youre focused on the wrong things.

LOL how embarrassing. The crime stats are absolutely unacceptable. Who cares if they're "getting better". Thats like boasting about some tard upping his GPA from a 1.1 to a 1.3. But again, Trump is suggesting crackdown on crime, TDS must be pro crime.

I mean even the “crime in red states” when you look closer, is very heavily concentrated in cities with democrat leadership. Any half intelligent person can see this.

That's because almost all cities are more left leaning than rural areas. Duh.

The whole point is that there were no imposition of the National Guard during his previous administration or when crime rates were much higher, so why now?  And why not in red cities with higher crime rates?  We all know why!  Because its not law enforcement reasons its theater for the news.

Duh. The ideology is the problem. Well, for most. Not for the well to do liberal elitists whose enclaves and gated communities protect them from the consequences of their voting stupidity, but the rest? They keep living in these shitholes and then voting for the status quo. And crime is horrific but then the snobs tell them, well there were “only” a couple hundred murders which is a year progress….which any rational person will tell you is an utterly appalling number….but, TDS

^^^^ Yup that's why the losers are losing the Hispanic and Black vote like crazy.

Turns out, the don't actually like the crime epidemic that's been unleashed.

Imagine how stupid the democrats look "Hey, we want Trump out of our cities, we want our crime back!"

And again....then why not deploy the National Guard to cities with the highest crime rates?  Top 3 are Jackson, Memphis and St. Louis.  Because its not meant to address crime, its just a show.

Why is there ALWAYS some asinine rationale for taking idiotic stances like opposing cracking down on crime? Who says eventually they won’t go to other cities? End of the day, predictably once again, TDS is causing you to oppose fixing a common sense problem.

We don’t carry our passport either.  I’m referring to polling in general, we have to present ID to vote and I use my passport to do so.

The other thing is, even if it’s theatrics, these shithole cities DESERVE to be embarrassed and made an example out of, because these numbers(who fuckin cares about whether they’re improving or not) in absolute terms, are horrendous and unacceptable.

Nobody is opposed to cracking down on crime. But that's not the goal. If it was you would go to the highest crime cities. And you would have done it during the first term whe. Crime rates were way higher.

Its not about the crime. Its theater.

Except you are(not just "you" but your kind). You undermine everything. Even the most common sense things, crime, government waste, etc.

Everyone can agree on government waste....then they try to tackle it and you guys start mouthing off about "not the right way", and then we step back and realize that what YOU voted for, wouldnt have even attempted to address the issue in the first place. Sore loser? Maybe. But clearly not someone who's on board ideologically or voting wise, with fixing these common sense issues. Same with the border, same with crime.

Okay. Then why have ICE at polling stations?  Its not about voting fraud or arresting illegal immigrants.

Well that's the citizens of that city and their mayors and governors to deal with. Its not for the federal government to unilaterally and over the objections of all those people to decide.

What on earth does that have to do with sending the National Guard into cities who dont want them there?

You really haven’t caught on? Everything Trump related, no matter how common sense, you have some deranged opposition to. Feel free to ask me again tomorrow though.

Not true. I fully support a lot of the concepts he promotes. What i have issue with is him doing it in such an incompetent way that it has the complete opposite effect.

I support increased efficiency. Instead DOGE screwed up entire departments, had to re-hire fired employees, and ended up costing money.  I support reducing the deficit.  Instead we got the opposite.  I support making it easier for businesses to operate efficiently.  Instead we got the most incompetent tariff roll out you could imagine. I support ending the war in Ukraine. Instead we get Trump sucking up to Putin.  I support the release of the Epstein files.  Instead we get massive cover up and refusal to release.

Well you voted for Harris which wouldn’t have accomplished any of the stuff you claim to support, so who cares?

I care. Hence the posts. A whole ton of the country cares which is why he's polling at record lows.
