I'd put the chance of no deal much higher than that. There hasn't been a single deal done yet.  Even the Japan "deal" announced this week is only verbal and Japan is disagreeing with most of the terms that were claimed by Trump.

Doing a trade deal with the US with Trump in the WH is apparently like doing a deal with psychiatric patient suffering from ADHD, multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia & alzheimars combined......there is no coherent negotiating position, no clear overarching strategic aim.....just vibes & Trump's ever changing moods/opinions.

 

Trade negotiating professionals on the US side (guess you'd call them the Deep State @cubsfan) are apologizing, in private, daily to their EU counterparts that a coherent US position cannot be established to allow for substantive talks on major issues.

 

indeed the joke in the EU is that while its difficult to get 27 EU countries to agree to anything - that actually all the sympathy should be for the US negotiating team...they have 27 different Trump's to deal with & everyone of those Trump's has no idea how international trade works

Ya it's a bit strange. There are obviously a lot of very intelligent people on this forum but it seems like trump just breaks their brains rendering them unable to view things objectively. There seems to be a lot of emotion and wishful thinking rather than viewing of the facts and data.

 

Whether you like trump or not (and personally I'm neutral on him) it should be quite clear that he's succeeding quite well on his goals of america first, whether that's the best for the rest of the world who knows.

When you claim the "its not real" conspiracy theory, can you point to a trump trade deal on tariffs that has been real?  Including his claim on the Japan deal last week that Japan is saying is not the deal.  Or the 90 deals in 90 days?  Or the UK deal that never happened?  Or the "August 1st, no extensions!" Claim that just today has another 90 days for China?

They'd rather focus on Epstein.  Closed border - who cares?  Shored up military - why do we need a military? More balanced world-wide trade - we don't believe any deals have been made.  Weaken Iran and its proxies - Iran was never a threat and we're starting WWIII.  Deport illegals - we need them to vote for us in the next election.  Reduce inflation - the price of eggs is still too high  Cut fraud and abuse - we spent too much money doing it and we hate Elon.   Reduce taxes - yeah only for the wealthy.  Men in women's sports - we don't believe in only two genders.   Stronger law enforcement and police - we want to defund the police.  Make America great - we 'd rather apologize for who we are.

There was actually a framework for the UK deal and that was never signed. Then Japan just last week.  And now there's no agreement there.  What about 90 deals in 90 days?  That was what 110 days ago?  

 

Let's see if anything actually get signed or its just another press release.

Ironically, I'm not even a Liberal, I'm a former Republican. But the party that I used to vote for is gone.  Lower deficits? Nope.  Open up international trade?  Nope.  Less government in business?  Nope.  Freedom of.the press?  Nope.

Have you found the trade deal that was signed yet?  You claimed it was all conspiracy that I was skeptical.  So where's the signed trade deals despite multiple times claiming there was one
