We recently saw David Byrne’s new tour…it was so good!! He plays a fair amount of Talking Heads’ greatest hits with some of his newer songs sprinkled in. All of the musicians on stage have marching instruments so they can dance with the music…similar to his Utopia tour. It’s all really well done and he still sounds great.

Highly recommend if he’s coming to a city near you.

I also David Byrne in Washington DC this past week.  It was an absolutely terrific show.  Truly incredible how creative the man still is at 73 years young.

I highly recommend as well!

Thanks for the heads up (pun fully intended). Looks like I'll be hitting Miami in December.

Thanks for the recommendation - I didn't realize he was on tour currently.  Might be able to see them in Richmond VA on the 14th.  Heading north for a while today.

RIP Ace Frehley of KISS.  I will always have a soft spot for the band, as the addition of the LP “Kiss Unmasked” doubled my record collection.

Damn, I saw them on the Destroyer tour and again on their Animalize tour (no makeup) with Krokus. Met Paul Stanley in a hotel bar across the street from the venue. He asked me for a light at the bar. Him and Gene Simmons were there for a very short period of time. They rounded up some girls and left.

I did not know actor Michael Shannon was touring with his friends doing covers of REM's "Lifes Rich Pageant".  At one stop, REM briefly reunited and sang with Shannon and his crew.  I was fortunate to see REM live with Radiohead in Vancouver 20+ years ago.  One of the great concerts I had ever been to and one of the most under-rated rock bands.  Cheers!

Just saw Thievery Corporation. A friend of mine invited me to the show. I never heard of them. The show was incredible.

Love those guys (they have a very large catalog)!

Here's a few more, if you like an eclectic mix of jazzy, funky, lofi.

I stumbled onto these a decade or more ago. Was sick and tired of listening to the same old classic rock. Could still go the rest of my life without ever hearing Stairway to Heaven or Sweet Home Alabama again.

Gimme jazzy funky lofi all day long!!!!!!

They are fantastic...I've been a fan for 20 years!  My favorite album is The Cosmic Game:  Warning Shots - The last two and a half minutes of that song will put you in such a groove!

And then Sweet Tides off of Radio Retaliation is just a stunningly, beautiful song:

Cheers!
