On Netflix there is a series of series all called "Trainwreck" then a subtitle.   I've watched a few of them and they are entertaining.  One is about American Apparel, another about the crack smoking mayor of Toronto.  Another called  something like Trainwreck Poopcruise, about the cruise ship that had a fire, lost power and the toilets all started overflowing.  I'm currently watching the one about Woodstock 99.  And there are a few more I haven't seen yet.

We are really enjoying a show called "The Diplomat".  It's from the creator of Homeland.  If you like shows like that or Occupied, you will probably like this one.

I just watched the 3rd Season of "The Diplomat"... It's very good. Highly recommend for those that are into political dramas.

@rkbabang - I saw the American Apparel episode and it's good that company eventually cratered, but the CEO and all the people he traumatized goes unpunished. Didn't seem to have any full accountability... sadly...

It's like the Tinder Swindler and FYRE Festival... maybe, a small slap on the wrist if anything.

After all these years, it's still a great show to watch haha

I loved the edginess of FOX during that era. I don't think that show could have been created today... There was something to 90s shows and rock... But, it's a classic... and I'm actually kinda happy that Ed O'Neil could not be typecasted as Al Bundy and do Modern Family... Good for him...

Agree 100%.  Many such cases. You can make a fortune by destroying many other people and get a slap on the wrist.  Then there is someone like software engineer Dexter Taylor in NY who gets 10 years in jail for building a few firearms for his own use as a hobby even though he neither threatened nor hurt anyone.  Our justice system works about as well as everything else the government does.

White collar crime has better risk and reward upside. LOL

Loved the first 2 seasons of The Diplomat. It was smart, fast paced, lots of twists.  I thought the 3rd was good but not up to the standard of the first 2.  Its like they were trying too hard.

Yea the jokes from Married with Children from the 90s, there's no way you could do that stuff today

Me and my buddies constantly quote that Bundy to this day, as well as Seinfeld stuff haha

A House of Dynamite on Netflix directed by Kathryn Bigelow was very good...recommend it!  Cheers!

I disagree here. I think the script is bad and the acting mediocre. It’s 6/10.

Sure, it's not that different than many thrillers, but the subject matter was well detailed and is interesting...enough so that the Pentagon got involved!  Cheers!

I can’t recall seeing it in this thread, although that might be just my memory, but ‘Industry’ is a cracker of a show; particularly the most recent season.

The Dictator - a movie that got better as it aged. Way better:

That was hilarious. Comes out swinging. The olympics scene, the mother dying in childbirth, nothing is sacred 😂

Agreed, very good show. I subscribe to Netflix for a month once every couple of years and it’s always shocking how little I’m able to find that I like. This show was good though.

@Rainier,

I'm sorry for a late reply here, I just try here to tell you, without the intent of being patronizing or condescending towards you, that to me, you are caught and trapped inside an eternal loop, a vicious circle, a reversed flywheel, because of the relation between cause and effect, the causal relation, causality!🙂😉

Netflix originally was a Blockbuster disruptor, and the way you subscribe to Netflix [your personal behavior] is affecting you overall perception of of the service.

Netflix obviously also has other than IT nerds employed, i.e. psychologist, shrinks, 'playing' Netflix customers - in a 'good way' - the 'like' Netflix feature is a cognitive system, by which the system can be trained for all individually come up with suggestions for what other similar stuff that you have already have viewed and liked!

Your casual, short term Netflix subscription behavior is depriving you from the advantages of this cognitive system to full extent, please try it out next time! 😉

It's not that long ago I established a separate account on the households Netflix subscription for the Lady of House, and taught her how it's working - she has other entertaiment and informational preferences and needs than I, which I've set up for her on the TV and her fairly new personal new, low end iPad, which can easily pull it on our 1,000 Mbit/s fibre connnection, which a few years ago lifted me for an arm and a leg, to get it installed the way that fitted me, not to get the whole house clogged up which messy cables here, there and everywhere, my home offcice is the place where all such stuff is placed, serving also  as a prop tech engine room of the house.
