  1. A better rebuttal

    Dang. That was rough!
  3. A quick search reveals how significant a security role the FBI has in the Olympics. What is the big deal here? Talk about not being self-aware - take a deep breath, guys.
  4. More TSLX. Now 1.05X NAV. Building a 10% position, 2% a day. 3 days to go. Today's buy is at a 10.12% yield.
  5. TSLX. It's never been a mistake to buy this near NAV. ( Currently at 1.08X). 9.5% yield. The market is spooked by their 40% software weighting, but these guys are on top of the AI exposure. They've been handicapping it for 2-3 years. Loans generally mature in 4-5 years so they can run any bad ones off, if necessary (which I highly doubt). BDC's suck but this one is cream of the crop. BTW the credit side of software has barely nudged even as the equity side has been massacred. That tells you something - this space is safe in the short-medium term.
  6. Post of the decade! Hilarious
  7. TOST $27 calls 1 week out. Stock is at $26.50. Surprisingly cheap IMO- the calls cost $1.45 Stock is gonna rebound after earnings today.
  8. Someone made a killing on the Maduro raid. It's being investigated; possibly a government insider took advantage. Point being, a lot of the bets might be stacked against you. The person taking the other side of the bet might know a lot more about the subject than you do.
  9. Ditto, well said.
  10. I'll bet a lot of us have averaged up on BRK over the years. I sure have.
  11. Not me. I fear what the left will do when they get back in power. As an example of what we face here in CA, even though it should be obvious to any clear-thinking person that the CA wealth tax would be stupid and self-destructive- we may very well get it on the ballot and pass it. Silicon Valley pays 35% of CA's taxes. So let's drive them out! A recent poll said 52% of those polled who understood the likely economic impacts of the tax STILL SUPPORT IT. It's the same mentality attached to climate change- let's crush the economy even though it won't help (thanks to China's emissions). Greg I may have to move to JOE territory after all!
  12. Yep, and now they've devalued the term 'fascism' as well. Its's bizarre. As if the 'No Kings' marches and the Minnesota stuff could ever happen in a fascist country. These people would be squashed like bugs. There's plenty about Trump to loathe- no disagreement there. But the overreach is continuous, and obnoxious.
  13. Great post Costanza. The comments from your friends in law enforcement are powerful and have altered my view greatly. thanks
  14. OK, that seems like a good list to research. Thanks
  15. Thanks GFP. Really good.
  16. And a research report I found interesting: BTIG_TempusAI-blurringthelinesbetweenprecisiononcologytestingandsmarterdrugdevelopmentusingAI_Apr_21_2025.pdf
  17. Here is some worthwhile general info: HCWainwrightCo_AI-BasedDrugDiscoveryandDevelopmentConference_Mar_11_2024.pdf
  18. Check this one out. Good operator.
  19. Well done gfp!
  20. This deserves more attention. It's revolutionizing drug research. A friend of mine, a very senior guy in the industry, confirmed this to me recently.
  21. Bluff or not, lawfare is bad for the country, no matter which side does it. I'm lifting this from a favorite (conservative) writer of mine: Shift your ground to the cheap and temporary rationalizations of politics instead of the arguments of law and ethics. Tear down yet another piece of what you believe to be the mere scaffolding of our Republic, only to discover that you’re removing load-bearing pillars. Defend this, and don’t be surprised when suddenly a firm structure no longer bears up under the shocks and stresses. And Parsad, before you start clapping, try to recognize who got this ball rolling in the USA. Threatening to pack the court, abolish the filibuster, etc etc. All from the Democrats. We're sinking here and we can do is call each other names and deflect!
  22. Agree 100% this is an abomination and terrible for the country. Blatant thuggery by Trump. Plenty of Republicans see it this same way, BTW.
  23. This.....right here.....is what is infuriating. Thanks for the insult.......you know it's possible he was disliked for other reasons than his skin color. Right? It's just lazy and one of the reasons you got Orange man.
  24. Right, Putin was waiting for us to 'give permission' to him before making his next move. Like he gives a #$%^ about that stuff. What 'permission' was he waiting for before attacking Georgia, and Ukraine?
