Here is one I thought was good, The Power of Time Perception, and it is only $3.99 for the Kindle version today, https://www.amazon.com/Power-Time-Perception-Control-Second-ebook/dp/B01MZEZL7S/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1531178356&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=the+power+of+time+perception&psc=1 Modify message

If Drew Brees was throwing that pass, the guy in the boat would not have had to move. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000813652/article/drew-brees-legendary-accuracy-tested-with-trick-shots

Wrote some BAC 28-strike, July 27 expiration puts for $0.60 per share. BAC is my third largest position, but would not mind adding some shares at $27.42, approximate basis after commission.

Looking at an old thread, writing short term puts with BRK below 1.4 BV seems to be a continuing strategy for you, no? Looks as if that gets you either BRK on the cheap or a ~18% return on marginable portfolio. (Nice) Yes I have been doing that with BRK for more than 10 years, ever since there have been B shares. It is how I accumulate BRK shares and also do some trading.

Wrote BRKB 187.5-strike July 6 expiration puts for $1.05 per share to replace those expiring today. Wrote a bunch of USB 50-strike July 13 expiration puts for $0.55 per share to replace those expiring today. Wrote some WFC 55-strike July 13 expiration puts for $0.65 per share. Again to replace some expiring today.
-
Assigned some BRKB this weekend, at a basis of $188.40 per share.

I think you guys are overconfident. BRK has fallen 50% top to bottom 2 or 3 times in its history. It can happen again. And if Warren was dead, there's no guarantee it would recover from 50% drop. ::) I'd be more concerned if Ajit died.
-
That issue for being shot puts is the same issue someone would have being long BRK stock.

I'd much rather have Charlie for a father than Warren! -
Yes and I wrote a couple of more puts, expiration tomorrow strike price $192.50 for $0.75 per share. Great minds think alike, but my sell order for two at .99 each never got filled.. (same contract) I wish I had your mind, and knowledge, when it comes to investing!

My favorite holiday week to write puts is Thanksgiving. The market doesn't move much on that Friday so it is almost like Wednesday is expiration.

Thanks for the tip. Impressive read. 'Defying Hitler' was another good WWII memoir, written by a 'nobody' in Germany who describes the rise of Hitler during the interbellum. 'Night' by Eli Wiesel was also a crazy read. FWIW like many others I really enjoyed 'Titan' and 'Snowball'. I found the Isaacson books to be a bit boring, I didn't even finish 'Einstein' and I'm in doubt as to whether I should buy the da Vinci book. 'Faraday, Maxwell and the electromagnetic field' was great. 'The Wright Brothers' was enjoyable. The Shannon book and Thorp book were also ok. At some point I'll probably try a few other Chernow books. The kindle version of 'Faraday, Maxwell and the electromagnetic field' is on sale today for $2.99, https://www.amazon.com/Faraday-Maxwell-Electromagnetic-Field-Revolutionized-ebook/dp/B00F8EYYJ6?_bbid=10105821&tag=bookbubblog-20

Thanks GFP, a week out is often a nice sweet spot!

Wrote 5 June 15 expiration 195 strike BRKB puts for $1.20 per share

In your second table you have the price of BAC listed as $309. Last line page 3 I think you left out a with, comfortable "with" that And thanks for sharing!

'write puts' == selling puts? and how do you decide which put to write? I sometimes sell puts as well, but only for one week or less time, maybe the profit/cost-of-selling isn't great? Yes, writing puts is the terminology for selling puts, for opening (writing) a put contract. Most of the puts I write are nearer to expiration like you do, from a few days to about two weeks. There is more time value to obtain the closer to expiration. My strike price is the price at which I would not mind owning the stock, because I might! So it is also the way I enter my LTBH positions. When I go further out in time it is because the price I want to own the stock is further from where it is currently trading so I need more time value to make the cost of trading immaterial.

On Friday I wrote USB 50-strike July 20th expiration puts for $1 per share, USB 50-strike June 29 expiration puts for $0.65 per share, and BK 55-strike June 8 expiration puts for $0.43 per share. Today, in some non-margin accounts because I had to wait for options to expire last Friday, I wrote some USB 50-strike June 15 expiration puts for $0.55 per share, USB 50-strike June 29 expiration puts for $0.58 per share, WFC 54-strike June 29 expiration puts for $0.67 per share, and BK 55-strike June 15 expiration puts for $0.55 per share.

GFP, Nice, I would have joined you but if I get assigned to all my naked puts (highly unlikely) I'll be on more margin than I would want in this market. However, I could not completely resist so I wrote one $187.5-strike, Friday expiration put for $95! ;) Geaux Saints, Mike PS Did you see where Drew Brees bought John Wooden's 1930s Purdue jersey?

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind - Yuval Noah Harari

I have found "loaning" books is essentially giving them away; they usually don't get returned. So your's is a good policy of accepting that and giving them the book. Someone agrees with you: I gave it a thumbs up ;) -
