bskptkl Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 NICK trading $8.30 book value $14 bought back over 1/3 of the float at $14.85 2 years ago! What a colossal mistake. Announced bad earnings today.

doughishere Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 sears :( Masochist? Aspiring bagholder. Couldn't think of a faster way. :-[ You could always lever up with margin :-\ The analyst from Cowen called it a "highly levered play on SYW." If you buy on margin does that make it a 2x ETF on Eddie Lampert?
CONeal Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Dycom Industries, Inc. (NYSE:DY) Took a small position since guidance for 4th qtr isn't what analyst were hoping and the stock got hammered today.
bizaro86 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 CVE Calls Do you mind sharing the strike/expiry combinations you've been buying. I've bought a few shares on the drop here, and am curious to hear about other strategies
Cardboard Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Oct 2017 $12 strike CDN. Volatility in the 30 to 35% range so not too bad on a pricing standpoint. The reason vs the stock is a current lack of liquidity. Depending on how this shake out, I may buy the stock on margin later on and use the dividend to offset the interest. Cardboard
CONeal Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 Think someone drugged my breakfast this morning. It's the only thing I can come up with to justify my actions for a retail buying spree. RL, ICON, FOSL
gjangal Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 RL looks interesting. If it can do 500mn in free cash for the next few years it's really cheap, however if revenue drops further and it's not able to do 500mn it's not a slam dunk. It has 800 mm in debt and lease obligations
gjangal Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 KORS looks even cheaper, makes sense to buy a basket of these cheap names
mikazo Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Considering EFN.TO, trading was halted and resumed due to -38% drop today. Probably something to do with a new issuance of $1.2B in asset-backed securities yesterday? https://www.elementfleet.com/binaries/content/documents/elementfleet/global/investors/newsroom/element-issues-ususd1.2-billion-of-rated-abs-term-notes-through-chesapeake-ii/element-issues-ususd1.2-billion-of-rated-abs-term-notes-through-chesapeake-ii/elementfleet%3Afile/elementfleet%3Alink
