Xerxes Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Canada-Qatar 6:0 uffff Between RasLaffan incident (hitting the checkbook) and this game (hitting the pride), I don’t think Ottawa is going to get much infrastructure investment from Qatar.

Hmmm, Canada handled it pretty well considering they broke one of the key player's leg! Qatar got off lucky considering the mood of the crowd could have gotten rotten after that. Cheers!

Good game. Canada is typically an after thought in soccer but they do have some decent players.

Never been more ashamed of my country's football until now. They have two draws in the weakest group of the entire world cup... Still don't understand what Lukaku is still doing on that pitch... can barely hold a ball let alone properly pass or dribble. We have little to no dribbling skills except for Lukebakio and for some reason he doesn't even get to start. 7 hours ago, Xerxes said: They all did great !! I agree, Belgium looked weak here. Their whole game was odd and played without soul. Belgium used to play decent soccer with a solid defense and fast counters. The coach does not seem to use the talent he has available effectively.
Charlie Posted June 22 Author Posted June 22 I like the successes of some african teams. They are hungry and grippy.
Libs Posted June 22 Posted June 22 Messi - 5 ARG goals in two games - all from Messi. At 38! I have fallen in love with soccer in the last few years.

Lazarus Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Egypt vs Iran is being designated by the world cup organizing committee as the Pride Day Match, coinciding with Seattle's Pride festival. They are encouraging LGBTQ+ visibility, with rainbow flags and drag queens. It's something straight out of a South Park episode.

I love how all the left-wingers who claim to be open minded always insist on jamming their values down other people's throats.

At Pride? Definitely stuff being jammed down throats! And most are probably closeted Christian/Catholic right wingers! Cheers!
