What a f&@$ing joke….we allow hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants to come across our border every month; put them up in hotels and give them food while we have thousands of Vets and citizens on the streets. We allow people to march in support of terrorist organizations, tear down our flag and wave the flag of the Taliban. Now we roll out the red carpet for Xi and brush the streets of all the homeless to appease a dictator who’s country was complicit in releasing a global pandemic causing ungodly amounts of financial and human loss. A country who sends chemists to Mexico to teach them the fentanyl trade which is ravaging our populace.

When you watch the meeting videos, it is clear that Biden and Xi dislike each other. Biden also does not give a diplomatic damn about calling a dictator what he is, make of it what you want. I guess the good news is that both side still talk, but there are very clear lines in the sand.

Suicide? It’s just a job. Worst case, he just going to resign. He can pick from a dozen better paying job with his experience and connections.

Sarcasm 😉 but it’s a very stressful job that has real consequences to his actions. I don’t think he can just resign and go on with his life as if he quit a job flipping burgers.

Bring Xi to USA and then insult him to his face.  If this was a calculated strategy designed to strengthen our nation, then I'm okay with it.

between the corporate board seats, speaking fees, consulting fees, and thinktank salary he'll be taking in, he'll be making hunter biden money in no time flat. but he's been biden's conduit for a long time so if he resigns you can bet the ship is sinking behind the scenes.

At least he’s not quite as bad as Hillary who was requiring Foreign Heads of State to make donations to the Clinton Foundation before she would agree to meet with them.

“The ‘laws of the jungle’ of international competition have not changed,” Xi told Chinese military officials in 2014. All that matters, he added a year later, “is whether you have strength and whether you can use that strength. Relying on a silver tongue won’t work.”

To paraphrase Musk, Xi has said the actual truht:)

Xi and Putin are looking for "useful idiots":

Sadly, Europe is full of them and is already paying the price in Ukraine. Will the US rescue Europe a third time?

China intends to use AI to bolster its authoritarian system; the US must encourage its development in ways that help democracies retain their global edge. A meeting between Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and his Chinese counterpart would open an additional channel of interaction — but don’t think the People’s Liberation Army will stop behaving dangerously in the Western Pacific, or that it will answer the phone in a crisis if the Pentagon calls.

Clearly, the general tone from the meeting was “cold as ice”.

It seems that so far really not much has changed and doubtfully will in the foreseeable future. And just because of elections in Taiwan soon and in US later are coming. It will be interesting to see if that fentanyl will even stop flowing, at least for a moment, from China, as was agreed.

By prioritizing security and stability – through surveillance, control, and coercion – over economic dynamism, China’s leaders are abandoning some of the policies and principles that underpinned the country’s “economic miracle.” Unless they change course, the entire global economy will suffer.

Doesn’t CCP know that these problems can be solved by distributing printed money (“liquidity”) to troubled institutions?

Xi: I’m available to consult if you want to do it “Bernanke Style”!

Money for nothin is western decadence. Chinese stimulus means the under employed get sent to salt mines (or perhaps rare earth mines) with some regular whipping until morale improves.

Bernanke's helicopter windfall was necessary to avoid a global meltdown and a possible collapse of the entire financial system.

Trump and Biden's helicopter windfalls (and you can include Trudeau and most European countries) weren't as necessary.

Cheers!
