"Blue city's staggering 40% violent crime drop a 'blueprint for other cities,' law enforcement expert says

Fewer than 200 murders were recorded in Memphis in 2025 for the first time since 2019, police data shows"

Cubs are you really bragging about this? Let's put this in perspective

Memphis population: 0.9 million.

Murders 2025: 184

Toronto   population: 7.1 million

Murders 2025: 40

A 40% drop in violent crime in 1 year?

You must be nuts....

Or just unwilling to acknowledge the very successful coalition between a Democratic mayor and Trump would lead to such a spectacular result.

Southern border coming in through Texas and Florida!  Cheers!

Texas (A Primary Entry Point)
Texas is a central corridor for fentanyl due to its long land border with Mexico and numerous Ports of Entry (POEs).
  • Total Seizures: As of April 2026, authorities report that roughly 97% to 99% of all fentanyl seized in the U.S. comes across the Southern border.
  • Specific Regions: Within Texas, the El Paso Field Office has seen significant spikes, with seizures rising over 900% in recent years.
  • Method of Entry: Most fentanyl (approx. 82%) enters through official POEs hidden in passenger vehicles or commercial cargo, rather than between ports.
  • Impact: Since early 2021, Texas state law enforcement alone has seized enough fentanyl to account for over 342 million lethal doses.

Florida (A Distribution Hub)
Fentanyl "coming into" Florida typically arrives through domestic mail, interstate trafficking from the Southern border, or via international seaports and airports.

  • Entry Points: Unlike the land border in Texas, Florida's entry points are primarily maritime ports (e.g., Miami) and international airports.
  • Volume Comparison: Direct border seizures in Florida are significantly lower than in Texas. However, the state remains a major target for law enforcement; for instance, a single 2025 operation in Suwannee County seized enough fentanyl to potentially kill the county's population 43 times over.
  • Role in Trafficking: Florida often acts as a destination or transshipment point for drugs that have already crossed the U.S. border elsewhere.

Credit where credit is due!  Those are impressive stats.  The crackdown on fentanyl from the southern border reduced the amount of drugs available in Memphis among other U.S. southern cities.  Less drugs, less crime!

Now if they could only stop the 0.001% of total fentanyl coming from Canada, ALL crime in the U.S. would stop!  Minnesota would not be the cesspool of criminal immigrants and lesbian teachers that it is.  What a stain on America!

Why can't people just marry three different women after cheating on each successive wife, pretend to be Jesus, and molest young women with the world's most notorious pedo...like everyone else!  Geez!  Cheers!

To me personally, crazy stuff to read. There is no way here Denmark in such situation would engage in warfare activities, without the government consulting, discussing  and adressing all political party leaders behind closed doors under obligation of silence.

John, if anything important requires the consent of both political parties in the US nothing important would get done.  There are deep, fundamental divides that are not going away anytime soon.  Wish it weren't so.

The whole point of that is to ensure checks and balances so you dont get wannabe dictators running off and doing whatever they want.  The Constitution was literally designed with that in mind and seeking consents. It doesnt require both parties it requires a Congressional vote. Given the GOP has a majority of both house and Senate the fact this wasn't even taken to a vote tells you Trump thought he would lose that vote.

Yeah, really no idea why he left...

Kash is doing an amazing job with crime and fraud. I've never seen anything like the fraud he is uncovering. If he leaves, I'll be very surprised.

But you know the MSM - Pete has to go, JD has to go, Kash has to go, Trump has to go.....

Same old broken record from the losers...

Understand your system and many others are totally different.  POTUS has teams of advisors and departments to assist him. He does not and should not let other "experts" make his decisions. He is voted in to use HIS judgement & courage to make decisions.

Otherwise, you get stuck with wishy washy political animals like Biden & Obama that make disasterous decisions. You can take Obama's entire Ivy League clown car of Susan Rice, Ben Rhodes, Jake Sullivan, etc and throw them in the trash.  They overdosed on the Kennedy Foreign Affairs School and came up with ridiculous theories like funding Iran and balancing the Shia against the Sunnis through "creative tension" - with their idiotic Shia Crescent against the Saudis...

What was the result?   Creating the Iranian monster that we see today, that Trump has to undue today.

Such stupidity, such cowardice to act.

John, to further expound, while I don't agree with everything the political party I currently support stands for, the other party has gone completely off the rails and there is virtually nothing agreeable to me in what they stand for.  In fact, it is difficult to find anything they stand for at all other than "get Trump".  This is a destructive motive that further widens the divide.  They have abandoned longstanding, centrist values that appeal to most people and now run a "hate" campaign because they have little in the way of objective positive approaches to the issues of the day.  IMO, they are trying to fundamentally change the foundation upon which the United States was built and upon which I and many of my friends, family and colleagues have made better lives for us and those around us.   Their only real objective seems to be a desire to regain, and then retain power to further tear down the fabric of this Country.  Not on my watch if I can help it.

No sweat.

Well, dually ironic, is not long before Mikes post, you stumbled upon a New York Times article, that without questioning you took as the truth/actual depiction of what’s occurring, and went on your day without so much as a second thought.
