This is an existential war of survival. Ordinary Iranians are volunteering to defend their homeland and their faith. Do you really believe that if they stopped getting paid — by Trump taking Kharg Island, for example — they would suddenly quit fighting and start protesting instead? Hmmmm, that's interesting. Things are so great they have to keep doing summary executions on the streets and prisons. Really great way to show your love for the homeland.
Gregmal Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) 1 hour ago, Maverick47 said: Interesting @Gregmal. Human psychology tells us that folks hate losing something much more than they like gaining the same thing. The wealthy Gulf nations are understanding just how much they have to lose with Iran controlling the Strait and holding a gun to their heads via threats to destroy their oil and gas infrastructure. Iran(and their small cohort) has long been the main thorn in the side of the UAE becoming universally accepted as a safe, capitalist friendly business hub. Now theyre not only being bombed by Iran, but their oil business is being interfered with. Jamal Kashoggi ended up taking an acid bath for basically just being a troll journalist. You really think they let this continue for too long? Edited March 26 by Gregmal

ourkid8 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) Iran is not even responding to US 15 point plan let alone asking for an extension. This is just hilarious, he is just making stuff up. Trump has Iran’s peace terms and he will either accept or not. President Trump said he was pausing strikes on Iran’s energy sector for 10 more days, to April 6, so peace negotiations can take place. Trump’s previous deadline was Friday. Peace talk mediators said Iran didn’t ask for the additional time. Trump said the extension was at Iran’s request. https://apple.news/AJhehcqKWSva6fPBvPASn1g Edited March 26 by ourkid8

Some of them would suck his dick if they thought it would put them in Trump’s good graces.

I guess it was so secret trump was obliged to share the secret and he really enjoyed “Iran’s gift” - do you believe that happened? I really hope what you are saying is true but there are no leaks and none of the mediators are saying there is formal negations happening besides messages being passed between countries. Iran has been attacked twice during negotiations. Do you really think they are formally coming to the table?

dealraker Posted March 27 Posted March 27 We kneel before the almighty Trump, we give him more and more power while falling on our knees with praise. All the institutions and laws we once cherished are abandoned. One man - and one man only - knows all. Only he can do it, we surely can't exist without him. The next disruption will equal or exceed the current one. At some point the majority of the US and world will be simply exhausted from Trump's chaos - endless discussion will ensure as to how and why this shit ever got going and how weak humanity was for not stopping it. In the meantime as I state often: Life is great...if you can stand it!
Parsad Posted March 27 Posted March 27 60 Minutes story on Molycorp and Trump Administration. Perhaps CBS' 60 Minutes first pro-Trump article under new management, or perhaps an accurate news story...read it what way you want...the facts remain relatively correct that this was a problem that needed to be fixed. Cheers! https://www.cbsnews.com/news/china-dominates-rare-earths-american-company-hopes-to-challenge-60-minutes-transcript/

Parsad Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Another one for Trump...the absurdity is mind-boggling! You have to wonder how previous administrations let this happen. I've never seen two positive articles for Trump on the same episode of any news show...even pro-Trump news shows...Ellison is working overtime! Again, the facts are the facts...I'm glad they are not making shit up like other shows. Cheers! https://www.cbsnews.com/news/us-ship-building-lags-behind-china-south-korea-trump-makes-it-priority-60-minutes-transcript/ If it wasn’t Trump, most of his policies would be widely applauded. Because it’s Trump, you get this huge chunk of the populous that’s just immediately turned off. The problem as I see it, is the checks and balances inherent in the “real” system. The second he even utters anything about the deficit, or trade, or the Middle East, the media and more relevantly “the market” do what they do, pressuring him to cut it out. As we ve seen before, when you play this shit out beyond “and then the market went down”…there’s a lot of longer term benefits to fixing some of these issues Trump is trying to address. But because of election cycles, and the short sightedness of most people, pretty much all politicians are forced to heed quite quickly when the short term headlines become “market declines” and “recession”. Even though sadly, market declines aren’t the end of the world and a recession isn’t either, especially if the recession is the mere cost of a better longer term future. The most sobering aspect, is that as we ve seen, Trump is likely the only guy batshit crazy enough to really push the envelope on even attempting to address some of this stuff. Which leads one to deduce that most of the structural issues facing the US, will just never be fixed. Edited March 27 by Gregmal

I've said before, it's not the policies it's the ncredibly bad implementation and complete lack of competence. Nobody in their right mind objects to fiscal responsibility, smart trade pacts, smart immigration policies and global safety. But Trump deals with these like a drunk in a bar looking for a fight instead of with competent people and intelligence. So inevitably not only does he not accomplish the task but in fact makes things worse. If this was a guy who worked for your business he would have been fired very quickly.
dealraker Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Trump: "Yo Steven, the 'do something stupid and then chicken out' thing ain't working quite as good nowadays to run Mr. Market higher." Miller: "Remember saying you could shoot people in the streets and not lose support?"
Buckeye Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Remember two years ago when Republicans and MAGA acted like they cared about higher prices?! That’s was some great fake outrage. What a bunch of jokers.

Yes, you keep rethinking things while POTUS makes chopped liver out of everything the U.S. built over the last 250 years! The combination of good decisions mixed with absolutely mind-boggling retarded decisions...what's the worst that could happen with this guy? Cheers!

Yeah, it's like a failing marriage that worked for a while. When it's bad for years on end - the best thing is to not fight it and get a divorce. Re-align with Israel and the Western Hemisphere is definitely the best way to go.

Mike [ @cubsfan ], Let's agree on making some '<No comments> posts' addressed at eachother, so we avoid getting hit by 30 days bans! For me personally, I would likely end up in f(o)etal position with a nervous breakdown, if that [such a ban] happens to me! : So we could throw charts against eachother included in '<no comments> posts'! - I'll go first : Three NATO countries live up to the demand for spending 3.5 percent of GDP on defence in 2025 : Among the really bad guys and girls you find : Spain, Canada, Italy and France! - USA #7 shared #6 and #7, with Norway! [<- And no!, that's not comments, that's observations!] - Sweep in front of your own door first! - Don't throw stones, if you yourself live in a house built of glass!
