Greg [ @Gregmal ],

You're, simply put, out of line here.

Insulting a contributing CofB&F member, by name calling, by now not actively participating in your ongoing exchanges with @dwy000 here.

Why? Just stirring the pot? - That particular board member won't respond to your provocations, so why do you even try?

That CofB&F member has perhaps the widest bandwith related to investing to the West of the Atlantic Ocean, and to the East of it.

A rare property here on CofB&F.

You owe that board member an apology.

Show us your format.

Why would he?

He's simply pointing out that one member who is trashing the FBI Chief for attending and celebrating a historic USA victory is just being petty and silly - which he is.

It doesn’t matter that Patel was celebrating with the team in the locker room.

There is a small section of society who obsess over politics who have their fingers on the keyboard ready to stir up shit.

If your life doesn’t revolve around politics you can see it for what it is - much of the time.

LOL I can’t think of much that better sums up the failures of the libtards, in terms resonating with the average person, than something like this. Some effeminate, Charlie Kirk wannabe grifter, thinking he’s dunking on the FBI director for….having a beer in the locker room with the national hockey team after winning gold at the Olympics?

Going there in a private jet on taxpayers dime while on the job.

Yup!  I don't care if it was the President or Vance...but the FBI director?

Cubs, Sweet and Greg...shouldn't we all be critical of government waste?  Especially at this time when governments are doing a shitty job of balancing budgets and paying down debt...doesn't matter whether its the U.S, Canada or Europe...they are all wasting taxpayer money on a lot of dumb shit.

Cheers!

We were and much of these same turdballs raged about it and undermined it anyway they could. This was the daily “Feb/March 2025 hissy fit” from a year ago. And of course, just like with everything, they wailed that… they’re not “supporting Maduro”, “violent crime”, “government waste”, etc, before arguing in support of it anyway….but as they say, everything before the word but is bullshit. They’ve done all these things in the name of having their daily “oppose Trump” tantrums.

Also, since we re all of a sudden so interested in the subject, a reasonable person should bother querying whether or not it is a requirement for such a person to be traveling private, which if I am not mistaken, the FBI director is one such person who’s required to do this. It is also my understanding that in the event that they do so for personal matters, they are required to reimburse the agency for the expense. But you don’t learn that from Rachel on MS Now or Charlie 2.0 On Twotter.

And it’s the same guy who remote worked from…, “Las Vegas”

And visits his Gf with a private jet:

If government waste is the issue then the outrage should be proportionate to the waste… but it’s not because it’s just a tagline to make it go viral.

I mean this is the depth of how stupid they are…Congress has mandated that the FBI Director fly private. If they had an issue, much like with all the other flavor of the day tantrums they’ve been having, surely we d have heard them whining about this before? But of course we havent…. We certainly didn’t hear their whining about Wray or any previous FBI heads, doing what Congress mandates they do. It’s hard to believe they get this deranged and angered over a brown dude going to the Olympics lol such losers

Who exactly is "they"?  You always generalize.

I (like many) was hugely supportive of what DOGE was doing.  One of the few things i hoped Trump could accomplish.  The issue was that, like everything for this administration, it was done so incompetently it undermined the entire purpose.  The "hissy fit" that happened was because they literally broke the law and everything had to be reversed.

So to then go from being willing to break laws to cut costs all the way to having the head of the FBI take his private jet to Italy to watch a hockey game is a bit disingenuous!  The odds that Patel pays that back is approximately zero.  People will get their tariff refund before that happens.

Again, who is "they"?  And why this obsession with him being a "brown dude".

This issue is why the hell the head of the FBI needs to be flying to the Olympics.  Much like the trip to Vegas or his girlfriend.

And its not about the amount of the waste it is the fact that this government was literally breaking the law in the name of cost cutting everyone else but they get to play by other rules.

You guys just seem irrationally triggered. And as has been pointed out, this has become routine. Different day, different hissy fit. Same underlying illness.

It’s already been explained to you. At first there was crying because you guys didn’t know that the law mandates certain dept heads fly private. Ignorant as always. Now you’re just making up theoreticals to support the lunacy…IE “I bet he won’t reimburse them” lol

You guys never once, like literally not one single solitary time, cared when it was a white FBI director flying all over, at will, on a private plane. Just calling it out that yall are triggered by the brown Republican in a pretty epic and hilarious way.

I cant recall any FBI director of any color going overseas to the Olympics.  Or to visit his girlfriend. Its not an issue of color, its an issue of competence.

No clue. Honestly never gave the subject any thought until today when it seems a bunch of brainwashed libs started losing it over Kash because at first they just didn’t know that it was a law(aha! Smoking gun! He visited his gf lol) and now are just covering their tracks with the same old, same old nonsense. “We never cared before because this is the first time in history it’s happened!”….

Jon Stewart absolutely demolishes Trump's Iran endeavor!  Only after talking about the Make a Wish foundation's trip for Kash Patel to the hockey championship game!  Absolutely hilarious!  Cheers!

Kash Patel on predecessor Chris Wray spending money flying privately on a government jet.  Don't these fucking Trump assholes remember anything they've said on tape and would look absolutely hypocritical a year later?  I guess if Trump doesn't remember all of his own hypocrisies, then why should they!  Defending the indefensible...a Cubs and Cubsfan tradition since 1870!  Cheers!

Yup. So like many complaining here, Kash was either being dishonest there, or just ignorant in not knowing the laws. Anything for some good social media material it seems!

Personally, I’d be fine if they scrapped this rule, or stopped following. But we all know that if later today Trump announces he’s scrapping the mandate for certain officials to fly private, there would be an emotional tidal wave of “I’m not supporting government waste BUT……”….

I'm actually ok for top department officials to fly private...but give them some budget to work within.  You have 30 or 50 hours of private flight time for personal use a year...that's it.  Make them pay tax on it as a benefit if used.  Food, amenities are at your cost...not taxpayers.

Security, safety, efficiency are all necessary for these officials...I understand that.  But cap the personal stuff and they enjoy it as a taxable benefit...not a perk!  Cheers!

And to what degree are people not aware that these sort of guardrails already exist? I mean the amount of just plain wrong or outright laughable assumptions declared in the last few days is downright hilarious. Many didn’t even know this was a law and thought they were revealing smoking guns and gotchas cuz “there’s a report he went to a hockey game”.

Im fairly certain that 1) it makes sense for this mandate at high levels…so we agree. 2) there’s probably guidelines for this already. 3) Kash isn’t the first to use travel private for personal reasons…again, it’s required for personal travel too. So obviously there’s something unique about him that really causes the complainers to be triggered. It’s pretty obvious what that likely is.

Just such a glorious display of ignorance here by many.

I think it's less to do that he's "brown", a MAGA or a hypocrite.  It has to do with all of the shit happening in the U.S...let's not pussy foot around the Trump-Epstein Files not being released unredacted or any investigations (ZERO) into anyone in the files.  Yet, he's in Italy, frat-boying it with the U.S. hockey team, swishing down a beer, acting like he just scored the winning goal!  Take the temperature of the room if you are a top official!  Cheers!
