She has done and said many things that I disagree with, but this is about as rational, informed and intelligent a candidate as you can expect. The relentless attacks from the right (for decades now) have turned a flawed person (and every one of you is flawed, and is guilty of lying from time to time to come of as better than you actually are) into a monster. Hillary has told her share of lies, but every other sentence out of Trump's mouth is a lie, misrepresentation or a self-serving boast, but his supporter base is full of morons who can't seem to realize this or don't seem to care. It's the Dunning-Kruger effect in its full, depressing glory. If Hillary told half the bullshit that comes out of Trump's mouth on a daily basis, she would not be a serious candidate, and I think that tells you a lot about the voter base of each candidate. Amazing that some people here are even taking Trump seriously. This isn't even a political thing, where I'm just trying to bash the Republican guy (I think much of the republican party is repulsive, dangerous and backwards but I wouldn't criticize say...Romney, if he were the candidate), but it's on the basis of the fact that Trump is a moron, and the worst kind of a moron, the kind of pompous moron who walks into every room thinking he is actually the smartest person. This guy sounds uninformed on just about every issue he touches. We have people here who seem to associate richness with goodness and competence, so I guess there's some truth to the saying "a rich man's folly passes for good judgement". How much money he has, how many times he went bankrupt, why he is hiding his tax returns, this is all irrelevant, just pay attention to what he is actually saying and realize that he knows nothing and is proposing one reckless thing after another, and that's the scary thing about him. It is impossible for a politician, ESPECIALLY one who has been in office as long as her, to not be dishonest or disingenuous to some degree. This is the nature of politics. For all the talk about Sanders and his integrity during this election season, he has also stretched the truth and pandered to public prejudices. Hillary has proven herself to be a very rational thinker and a fighter and she has plenty of experience. Further, she has no integrity - she has flip flopped on just about every major issues she has ever voiced an opinion on which points to a lack of any principles and a willingness to pander in return for votes to satiate her lust for power. Lastly, she's been in support of some of the worst policy decisions made by the U.S. government in the last two decades with the most obvious being the Iraqi war. So yes, she's the most "qualified" from an experience perspective, but no, I do not think that a criminal with an enormous capacity to lie, who stands for nothing and no one except what benefits herself, is the type of person I want to give a large amount of nearly unchecked power too. That's not to say I think Trump is any better. It's sad that this is the choice that is given to Americans and that they demand no alternative because that would be "wasting your vote". In terms of ego and arrogance they are neck and neck. I don't think that I would have any fun with either of them discussing over a beer or going for a game of golf or some other activity. Both are total a-holes. However, a choice has to be made and it is right or left. And since Hillary keeps deviating to the extreme left to garner Democrat votes, we have no clue as to what she truly stands for. Cardboard Hillary is rational and this significant leftist movement in her party (or perhaps more accurately, the country in general) has basically left her no choice but to give credence to those voices. At heart, however, she is a centrist. Obama was thought to be the same prior to him becoming president, but I do not see this drastic shift to a socialist economy that so many on the right have decried. I mean come on, where is the big insight in this? Why do leftist people always try and paint their opinions as some kind of objective truth about the world? You spell out your bias and then go directly to claiming universal truths. And making broad, sweeping conclusions about the intelligence of each candidates' voter base, lol. There is maximum a couple of IQ points difference between the average of the two and it most probably will be just about a wash. That's how big numbers work. The only candidate who could claim a genuinely smarter voter base is Gary Johnson and that's precisely because he doesn't have any mass appeal whatsoever. You could never get a niche candidate who only got the dumb vote, for natural reasons. The fact that you actually seriously think that the average Hillary supporter is way smarter than the average Trump supporter speaks loads about either your personal bias or the bias of the media you consume. It's amazing how Trump can be so rational with his fp - don't needlessly bomb other nations, be open to talking with other world leaders, even if they may not be our friends. Won't happen - I'm optimistic that he'll get 10-15% of the vote so Libertarians become a swing factor in future elections, but he'll never get enough support to become president. The Jewish star is no more derogatory to Jews than the Christian Cross is to Christians because both are symbols of their religions.
