  1. We are getting way off topic but just to make things clear, you're reading too much into what is actually said. I claim there is a genetic component to all these things, I'm not excluded that there are other components nor that we should take generalized actions (i.e. determining someone's fate). However, I do believe immigration wise it is useful to look at statistics related to nationality/races and base your policy on. For instance: You can see 1.8% crime rate for Germans vs 14.5% for Afghani migrants in Germany. Based on this data, I have no problem with countries implementing stricter immigration policies for Afghani migrants.
  2. Well, typically the one with the biggest mouth gets punched.
  3. The argument is as fucked up as saying "there are more black people in the NBA because they have a genetic athletic advantage". The only difference is that as soon as IQ comes into play, for some reason you have to tip toe around it. Not to go further off topic but did the British have a statistically funded basis for their statements?
  4. Average IQ by Country 2025 I mean that not only 'nurture' plays a part in this discussion, so does nature. When certain races are genetically inclined to have lower intelligence (while having other strengths of course), it is natural to see them under represented universities as well as over represented in crime statistics. As mentioned above, you can't use this in how you treat people because statistics say nothing about the individual. But it might be a useful criteria in immigration policies. If you're going to make that argument, people will start argumenting that it should be based on the amount of contribution soon.
  5. On your first part, there must always be a reason for this. Sometimes it's discrimination, at other times there is an unknown variable. Though I agree in the Harvard case it is discrimination, it is even worse for asian students because they dominate the top x% they are harshly discriminated against. On the second point, I agree there should be no difference in rights or responsibilities based on race, that should be based on the individual. However, let us not kid ourselves about the obvious differences between races. When all the dogs are behaving nicely and the pit bulls start killing each other, no one is going to claim it is because of 'different economic backgrounds'.
  6. What is the multiple excluding Mag 7? Edit: Grok estimates 16.5x, not that high to be honest?
  7. Bit pessimistic Dalio... though the interviewer is kinda annoying, keeps asking for the worst case.
  8. https://pracap.com/theyre-gonna-choose-to-run-it-hot/ Kuppy getting a bit cynical on the macro side. Strange argument stating that the rest of the world is intentionally overproducing and forcing americans to buy it...
  9. Ooh shame, would have been a funny move.
  10. https://x.com/TrumpWarRoom/status/1911504476818616823 And down we go, BTC already leading the way.
  11. It is better to not be confident in anything than to be confident in something where you're wrong. Oil is a cemetery filled with overconfidence.
  12. I know you are a good trader SD, but trading BTC is so risky... BTC returned 95% of its annual gains in 10 days per year. No way I am smart enough to find those days.
  13. It's good that bonds are no longer a safe haven.
  14. I know the markets aren't happy about Trump right now but I love this move
  15. Well communist VS what seems like a dictatorship right now? It was clear that the informed public as well as the rest of the government was not in favor of these tariffs. I am just proposing the mental exercise, not saying I am in favor.
  16. I do noticed that BTC was remarkably resilient this time, however when I talk to people around me, they all think BTC is still the riskiest thing you can do with your money.
  17. Why not the other way around? Japan and Europe joining China VS US? It's not like the US can be considered trustworthy lately...
  18. Those graphs are a bit misleading at times. Here it is 70 days, others use 109 days... If you go back further then the correlation is lost for substantial periods. So I am a bit skeptic here, I think we need some sort of catalytic event like US expanding SBR or more market stability/optimism from Trump... People are scared to invest in anything right now. But let's hope I am wrong. # of Bitcoin available on exchanges remains low so far so in terms of supply/demand we are still good.
  19. That was Jon Stewart, or Kimmel stole it.
  20. I am not sure about that. During election time they spoke about using BTC to cut the debt in half in 20 years. I think for now he just wants the interest payments on the deficit to be low.
  21. Why meltdown mode? Some people figure things out by taking their time on their own. Others need sparring partners to help wrap their mind around things, I am one of the latter. Everything you see in this thread, actually helps to calm me down.
  22. Beause orange man ego too big to call himself?
  23. Bessent has already confirmed that delisting Chinese stocks is on the table... was also the case 4 years ago.
