  1. I know you're joking but I was thinking puts on the magnificent 7... however with interest rates potentially dropping, that seemed like too big a risk. Currently exchange only (bitvavo). Thanks for this, if the position grows this looks easier to hold than the actual coins.
  2. So basically you're buying bitcoins at a slight premium without the risk of holding them yourself? Sounds like the blackrock ETF with extra steps to make it legal.
  3. That looks like mine if you swith PRB/AIV with OXY/BRK. Except MSTR though, never heard of it... will look into it.
  4. I think it's going to be Bitcoin... sorry guys. I'm also 50/50 shares/calls on Joe, though I won't let calls (60$'s) get exercised, position is too large for that.
  5. Thanks for the reminder, I have been doing the opposite with options as diversification.
  6. Dammit Luca I'm trying so hard not to buy it again but your confidence is contagious.
  7. That sounds like a full time job though...
  8. I don't hedge, I just suffer through it... when things get bad I use some margin and don't look at my portfolio for a while.
  9. Well nothing like crypto gains for me unfortunately but the UBS calls this year we're a x5.5 return in less than 6 months.
  10. I own the Jan 20$ options as well but my cost basis is 0.95... up 100% right now so not complaining. Was thinking to go a bit further out with options to avoid the timing, ruling should be done latest end of January? Worst case mid February? Only concern is a quick "DOJ files for appeal" before I can sell out.
  11. Petrobras With my additions to GXE I was a bit heavy positioned in O&G so I lightened up here.
  12. Didn't you already have a large position? I want to add more but I'm having a difficulty averaging up in the options.
  13. Sold half of my BYON calls. Loaded up on these when the stock was @ 15
  14. It bothered me most how he died. He made so many people laugh yet ended up depressed. Reminds me I need to see Flubber again, was one of my favorite childhood movies. I'm sure Munger was able to pass with satisfaction from his life. He did not seem like the type of man to hold regrets.
  15. Second time here (Robin Williams was the first :))
  16. On the other hand, we also live in a world where you have to do a lot less to have a nice life... more and more people are working part time because they prefer the time over the money. Especially younger people now tend to focus much more on their mental well being than career or money. Maybe a bit too much, damn snowflakes.
  17. It will take a while, but we are adapting to change much quicker. It won't take 12 years for this to have its impact.
  18. Aah well said, learning from the best, that's what I try to do here. I stil consider myself financially illiterate compared to most people here. I've been thinking about how to handle the topic of finance as well amongst friends & family. I've got two friends who spend their entire life savings on their dream houses... which is nice, they have a good income so it's not going to harm them. But they ruin their compounding potential... seems like a shame to me but to each their own. Also my sister in law mentioned they couldn't afford a 10k repair on the house. They make good money and have a low mortgage... it baffled me, until I remembered their spending habits. But this is such a sensitive topic to touch... especially because the in-laws hate taking advice from me. (I'm an engineer, they have high school diploma's and kind of a stick up their butt when someone who 'went to college' gives them advice)
