  2. Question: Has anyone received their Shareholder credentials for the meeting? Are they even mailing those out this year due to the circumstances? I have a collection going back years of all the credentials, so was curious as the status of this years. Thanks.
  3. Caterpillar pretty easily or Coca Cola for a stretch.
  4. Ol' Uncle Warren better be buying BRK shares hand over fist this week!
  5. Could WEB's donated shares to the Gates Foundation be "tendered" back to Berkshire Hathaway?
  6. Sold my GOOG shares on 1/24. Have the same feeling that it will be available cheaper in the future. Currently sitting at 15-20% cash and all new money is going to cash for the time being.
  7. Agreed. The revenue from membership dues, margins on the Kirkland Brand and the very sticky, loyalty of members makes this attractive to me.
  8. Would love to see Buffett and Munger buy Costco.
  9. Maybe Michael Bloomberg will have to divest himself of the company and Buffett can pick it up in an all cash private deal, lol.

  13. So really what brought Bill Murray there? Any speculation? Murray has that clothing business he started with his brothers. Possibly seeking business advice? No idea.
  14. What are the rules around Buffett's stake that he's donating to the Gates foundation? Can those shares be bought back in private transaction blocks?
  15. From the ask Ericopoly thread: Posts: 6896 View Profile Personal Message (Offline) Re: Ask Eric! « Reply #14 on: March 15, 2013, 11:36:07 AM » Quote I typically wake around 6 am and check the pre-market quotes while in bed. Then I drink coffee and walk my daughter to her public elementary school where there are only 14 kids in the class in addition to 2 full-time paid assistants. So that's 3 paid adults for just 14 kids. I'm not kidding! And that's a public school in California. Then lately I've been going on a two hour walk (foot surgery two years ago worked out). I get back from that walk and go swimming for a half hour (one thing we splurge on is we keep the pool heated to 90 -- but some of that is solar heating). Then I walk the dogs. Or sometimes I go for a walk with my wife on the beach (she is usually doing her ceramics hobby in her studio). If I don't go for my two hour walk, I'll be the one driving my son to his pre-school. It's about 100 yards from the beach, so I'll leave the car in his school parking lot and go walk the beach, see the pelicans, watch the surfers (his pre-school is basically my parking spot for Hammond's Beach). I go on fishing trips (flyfishing). I've taken horse riding lessons -- we went for a trail ride last night in Death Valley (awesome!). For my 40th birthday my wife is giving me surfing lessons -- so perhaps less watching the surfers from now on and I'll be doing more surfing. Death Valley is hot! Man, it was like 98 degrees yesterday. It's bizarre -- this is winter!
  16. There was also talk years back about being interested in "In n Out Burger".
  17. Great conversation. Good stuff all around. Thanks for sharing.
  18. When I was 19 years old I started buying INTC stock. Still have them sitting in a brokerage account. Not sure what the return has been over the past 25 years though.
  19. I remember seeing a write up a few years back discussing In 'n Out Burger. I'm selfishly waiting for this acquisition to happen so that expansion east will follow!
  20. The Simpsons show called it back in 1999!
