Have you looked at 2Seventy? I think the ceo might get kicked out if the activist fund have their ways. I missed it when 2Seventy dropped to 1seventy ($1.70) , it’s now more than $3.

You can buy arb deals. Most of them are short term capital gains. Can even leverage up with options

gosh you are old Btw, I also know people during the Dotcom. Some colleagues Borrowed millions from my ex-company and exercised their options, waiting to sell later for long term capital gains. Then stock tanked like 90% from Nov to Jan 2000. They owes millions of loans from the company and they are left with millions of capital loss. I don't know what happened to them. Some said the loan were forgiven by the company later.

Can't you do an Exercise on the LEAPs since you can't sell it anyway? You could do exercise a portion of it, and use the profit, and exercise the remaining.

Anybody looking at $HES? The M&A spread is now 10%, and CVX is down quite a bit during the last couple of months. My concerns is the spread is not as large as it looks because $CVX pays a good dividend (which HES shareholders won't get till deal close), and the deal might be further delayed now since FTC just asked for more information.

yeah, I was thinking to close my Jan 20 Calls, but eventually decided to keep it for "blue sky" upside. If deal closes my stocks winning will cover all potential loses from the call.

I have both stocks and some calls. I am adding the stocks only because i am not sure about the timings . Options actually became cheaper recently, especially the Jan options that I owns..

why is BRK down today? Is it because the Haslam news or in sympathy of Mr. Munger, or is it some news I missed? Seems strange.

I recently have bought SAVE, ACI, CPRI, and SGEN I was also looking on USM/TDS, and IRBT, but biting my neils.. TDS/USM has no announced deals and founder recently gifted his family a lot of shares. IRBT got objection letter from EC. The new FTC regime is making arbs more interesting, and more profitable, imo. They are seems keep losing trials.
